Spending a fortune on tires because you're always cambered out so much you have to buy a new set every other month. worrying about speed bumps/pot holes/dips/your own driveway, your front lip, your exhaust, your fenders. and whether or not your knock-off rims are going to break on you. or even your stretched tires breaking the bead if you drive too aggro

If it was designed for racing, it would be rwd, roll cage, ripped interior, still lowered as it creates more gravitational down force on the top and reduces underwind which would cause the car to lift up at high speeds, a real spoiler, and a bunch of carbon fibre shit. that's a racing car.

When a veteran told me to raise my car and get a proper alignment, I was a solid 3 seconds faster on the first session and by then end of the day I improved by a total of 5 seconds and placed in the top 5. I've since been in every racing event from kiddie karts to full out race cars.
@rotor13 autocross is far different from track racing and rally... Auto cross features a lot more sharp turns and an overall slower race, of coarse raising an autocross car would create overall better times. As for racing around corners at 70+ mph and on straights at 130+ lowering is an essential part of getting faster times. I'm 34 and I rally Group N in VT, I would think I know "shit" Autocross is one of the easiest forms of racing right next to drag.

Even looking at the ALMS cars when they come to Sebring, Remove the front splitter and rocker panels and you have a car that is not much lower than the stock car it once was. Which is what you're referring to. They also have underbody paneling as well to help speed up the air that goes underneath the car

A Porche GT3 or my Citroen C4 I use to rally are a lot more understandable to lowering. It is an essential part of rally, as it is with ALMS cars also you should understand this. But even I know the 4 most crucial parts of a racing car Tires, Suspension, Brakes, and weight removal. Making a car lower also goes hand in hand with weight removal, if you didnt your car would lose traction

But because I have a multipurpose car, I use the best street tire to fit my needs. Which is the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, found OE on many exotic cars, and used as a race tire as well.
My priorities are exactly where they are with the cars setup.

You would be surprised how much of an obvious difference 2" can make in the clearance of the wheel well when compared side by side. And yes, that guy is my good friend. @kawola17 Sure, this car is low, but honestly, the comfort mostly depends on the stiffness of the spring rates. If I remember correctly, this guy has factory spring rates from KSport which, I think, are 9kg/mm in the front and 6kg/mm in the rear (or something around that range). I have somewhat stiffer springs on my car and I like the ride. Yeah, it's bouncy, but I have yet to get a sore back or ass from it. I have comfy seats, though.
Either get better seats or stop bitchin' and tough it out.

@simlesuperlol1 It's a dent. He buckled his fender when turning too hard one day so the metal bent inwards and chipped the paint. The fender was hammered out, but it didn't come out too pretty. He has new fenders now, though :)

@coolslaya It's easy to tell the difference between 18" wheels and 20" wheels. You would be surprised how much of an obvious difference 2" can make in the clearance of the wheel well when compared side by side. And yes, that guy is my good friend. Everyone there knew each other. And in case you didn't notice, we did help him out my getting his car un-stuck from the curb the first time.

@kawola17 Sure, this car is low, but honestly, the comfort mostly depends on the stiffness of the spring rates. If I remember correctly, this guy has factory spring rates from KSport which, I think, are 9kg/mm in the front and 6kg/mm in the rear (or something around that range). I have somewhat stiffer springs on my car and I like the ride. Yeah, it's bouncy, but I have yet to get a sore back or ass from it. I have comfy seats, though.
Either get better seats or stop bitchin' and tough it out.
