Would you recommend me spending £35 for the reflex edition + controller for this game on the Wii. I'm kinda new at this so would this be a good starting point for me? Classic controller is not supported on this so you'd be throwing your money away. Goldeneye supports it and is almost a carbon copy of the game, so try that :)
ps1 is a bit far, the wii has slightly better graphical capability than a ps2 (although many game producers dont take advantage of this and be lazy riding on the thought that wii games cant look decent)

@DLAY1878 there's really no difference at all it's still call of duty 4 just with a name change and the friend code system is different other then that it's a great game so give it a try.

The only local multiplayer is what I show in the vid, where the 2nd player gets a crosshair on the 1p campaign and he gets to help by shooting things.
Just so you know, the controls for multiplayer and single player are seperate, so thats why it didn't save your button layout when you looked at the controls on the single player menu.
@DEIVION212 help w/ upload times? ive edited videos for my friend to upload to youtube and ive noticed files like .mov and such take a while to upload, but the same file in .mp4 format is much better (one video took 99 minutes to upload in .mov and when i converted it to .mp4 it only took a minute or two). there are a few free converters out there, hopefully that will help with upload times.
It's a plastic shell with no chips at all what so fucking ever, it's basically something Ninty released to sell to people who want to pretend they've got a gun.
@DEIVION212 Played the 360 version, enjoyed the Wii version a lot more mainly because of the controls.
I also would say that I enjoyed Reflex more than the demo for MW2 (which I downloaded for PS3), but that's a different game, and it's only a demo, so I can't compare, really.
I am having a problem 'sighting in' my weapon. I have tried 2 different guns, both are hitting way low, so i can't use the sights on the gun, just shoot from the hip. Is there a way to adjust/calibrate?
I ain't played it in months, hell, I ain't owned it since about 10 months ago, lol, so I really can't remember if you could calibrate it. Check the advanced options where you can set every button and see if "calibrate" comes up, I'm afraid that's the best I can do.

Out of the "Major systems" I only own a wii...my PC cant handle this kind of stuff because its 10 years old and sucks xD. but I heard a new CoD was coming out soon...like november i think for wii and I planned on getting this. The new COD won't be as good as this if history is anything to go by. Basically COD has 2 devs, 1 dev makes great games, 1 doesn't. And they seem to alternate making COD games.
Also I think Black Ops is going to have missions all over the place, some in Vietnam, some set in WWII and it's just going to be a mash up of small campaigns (If I've heard correctly). So I don't think the single player will be as good as this.
But as you say, the online will probably die on this because of Ops.

Yes this is me talking, I do like this game on the Wii, for some reason I just couldn't stand the 360 or PS3 version (Actually owned all 3, it's too long a story to explain but suffice to say it's happened again with MW2. P.C's the only thing I've never bought it for, and that's my favourite machine, lol) but I hate the Wii itself.

Yup, I really do love the P.C and I try to buy everything for it. It's why I'm pissed off that Mafia 2 has a huge exclusive DLC for the PS3, because Mafia is a fucking P.C game! It always has been a P.C game, so I want it on my P.C, but I refuse to get it while 2K are being dicks with the DLC.
If I wanted it on the PS3 all would be good, but it'd be like buying Starcraft II on the 360. At least Blizzard haven't done a console port I suppose.

At 4:52, you said that the Wii version didn't have Ground War due to the system's limitations so the game couldn't handle that many players. The part about the Wii is true but the other part is wrong; the original CoD4 never had Ground War, lol. Ground War started in WaW.

@Intrdmnsion i've never played WaW before but I do have CoD4 and MW2 and both of them have Ground War which was basically Big Team Deathmatch or Domination. I think it is different with WaW
@JDogSL I've never played CoD4, but when watching video commentaries, everyone always said that they loved that Treyarch had Ground War in their game. That lead me to assume that CoD4 didn't have Ground War. The Ground War in WaW is a whole different game mode; you have to capture points on the map and they keep changing after one point is captured. Really hectic. CoD4 and MW2 only have Ground War with Domination/TDM :/

I do NOT mean the video I have recorded.
I mean the game, the actual product, when played, on the Wii machine. It has screen fuzz.
Like when you put a T.V on a channel with nothing.
You get snow.
Well the game, the actual game, not the video I have recorded, but the game when playing it, even with a HD compo has snow/fuzz.
I do no mean that the polygon's are as blocky as a PS1 game.

IMO it's better on the Wii than the others. And I've had the 360 and PS3 version.

@DEIVION212 Played the 360 version, enjoyed the Wii version a lot more mainly because of the controls.
I also would say that I enjoyed Reflex more than the demo for MW2 (which I downloaded for PS3), but that's a different game, and it's only a demo, so I can't compare, really.

I am having a problem 'sighting in' my weapon. I have tried 2 different guns, both are hitting way low, so i can't use the sights on the gun, just shoot from the hip. Is there a way to adjust/calibrate?

I ain't played it in months, hell, I ain't owned it since about 10 months ago, lol, so I really can't remember if you could calibrate it. Check the advanced options where you can set every button and see if "calibrate" comes up, I'm afraid that's the best I can do.

I found CoD MWR for 25€, plus I alredy had the money ready for Black Ops.

Hey! Out of the "Major systems" I only own a wii...my PC cant handle this kind of stuff because its 10 years old and sucks xD. but I heard a new CoD was coming out soon...like november i think for wii and I planned on getting this. I have never played CoD before but people say it is so awesome and now im sorta curious into getting it. The new COD won't be as good as this if history is anything to go by. Basically COD has 2 devs, 1 dev makes great games, 1 doesn't. And they seem to alternate making COD games.
Also I think Black Ops is going to have missions all over the place, some in Vietnam, some set in WWII and it's just going to be a mash up of small campaigns (If I've heard correctly). So I don't think the single player will be as good as this.
But as you say, the online will probably die on this because of Ops.

first we had cod 3 peice of shit i thought
2nd we had cod waw the campain was good and the multiplayer was the same but lacking in multilayer compared to other consols and a deprssing lack of zombies
lastly we have cod 4 a bloody bril game all round...

They didn't MAKE the game at all, they ported it! They done a good job PORTING the game, they didn't make it from scratch, they used what IW had already done and them dumbed it down for the Wii. Do you really know so little about video games to not understand what a fucking port is?!

Yes this is me talking, I do like this game on the Wii, for some reason I just couldn't stand the 360 or PS3 version (Actually owned all 3, it's too long a story to explain but suffice to say it's happened again with MW2. P.C's the only thing I've never bought it for, and that's my favourite machine, lol) but I hate the Wii itself.
1 good game every year is not good enough IMO.

Yup, I really do love the P.C and I try to buy everything for it. It's why I'm pissed off that Mafia 2 has a huge exclusive DLC for the PS3, because Mafia is a fucking P.C game! It always has been a P.C game, so I want it on my P.C, but I refuse to get it while 2K are being dicks with the DLC.
If I wanted it on the PS3 all would be good, but it'd be like buying Starcraft II on the 360. At least Blizzard haven't done a console port I suppose.

I don't think any Nintendo game has ever had a storyline, I mean Mario saves princess isn't exactly a storyline. But whatever.
All I can say is why I hate the Wii, easy games with no challenge (And I find challenge fun, without challenge I have no fun) and awful motion controls that pail in comparision to Move (Yup, played Move now and it blows the Wii away with responsiveness of controls. Only problem is, I can't review it because you can't have anything between you and the eyetoy).

As I've said BILLIONS of fucking (Notice I didn't use a "Q") times, back when this was done youtube has a 10 minit limit for video uploads. As you might be able to see it was 9:54 long, therefore IF I'D SLOWED DOWN THEN THE VIDEO WOULDN'T HAVE FIT!

I really don't get this, Wii fanboys always complain when you slag off graphics or rave about a game when it looks great on the Wii, yet it's always the first thing to be mentioned in an argument as to why gaming for another console is shit.
Usually it goes along the lines of "Yeah well you're just a graphics fanboy who plays any old shit as long as it looks good". It's hypocrisy at it's best.

It's a good summary of what I love and dislike in this version of the game.
I agree it is graphically inferior compared to the Xbox360, but overall it's a great addition to the COD franchise overall.

At 4:52, you said that the Wii version didn't have Ground War due to the system's limitations so the game couldn't handle that many players. The part about the Wii is true but the other part is wrong; the original CoD4 never had Ground War, lol. Ground War started in WaW.

@JDogSL I've never played CoD4, but when watching video commentaries, everyone always said that they loved that Treyarch had Ground War in their game. That lead me to assume that CoD4 didn't have Ground War. The Ground War in WaW is a whole different game mode; you have to capture points on the map and they keep changing after one point is captured. Really hectic. CoD4 and MW2 only have Ground War with Domination/TDM :/
