I doubt this is the case, but the groups were acting in a way to suggest your barrel was heating up real fast. Also, how much does the humidity fluctuate where you store your powder? This could lead to uneven burning when fired if the humidity gets too high. Good luck on your next batch; I know the pain of making not-so-good hand loads :)
@golfdashin1 Thanks for the info my barrel is a 1:8 twist ratio I got some Remington UMC 115 on backorder from Midwestusa but they push the order now to Mar 31 from Feb 15 so i will be a while before I get them
Powder measuring is best done with a scale that is accurate, check weight that is known for Exact Zeroing of scale, a good Uniflow style powder measure, and your load data. Spoons and pistol cases with wire handles, and little yellow scoops are not your best bet on charge weight.
@hpmacmurray Thanks for the info I have a scale that has a .1 Grain readout I use The little yellow scopes to put the powder into the little bowl on the scale. I take the bowl off and put it back on the scale twice to make sure it reads the same both times . I actually
have to make sure me a/c does not come on becaues it changes the reading - Charles
with that kind of wind you arent really accomplishing anything, a fairly light weight slow moving round like that isnt going to hold up to the wind at all.
Is that with the lee powder dispenser thats plastic? Watched all your other videos. I like the three camera view. Also, any thoughts on GUNNS velocity that hit 2400 fps? Chrony error? Any idea? Thanks,
@dgaul94639 I use the Lee Measure kit it has little yellow cups to scoop out the powder. Not sure why it was 2400 it was a little loud you can see my surprise hesitation after the shot. 've shot about 60 rounds of GUNN and that was the only time it surprised me like that. I'm trying to find what kind of powder GUNN uses because I took 5 bullets apart and measured the powder and they average 20.2g. It had a different volume than H110 and did not look the same some people say its A1680
Like the videos! I've only had time to get a box through my new 300 upper but I have few questions if you wouldn't mind? With your reloads, what dies and powder measure are you using? Also, are you using modified .223 cases or once fired 300 brass?
@dgaul94639 I am using a Lee limited die set from midwayusa I am using H110 Speer TNT 125g and reusing the GUNN AAC Brass I have tried all power measure from 16.5 to 18.8 (See my 4 part video) I've setteled on using 17gn which nets 2000fps thru my upper whic is the same as the GUNN 125g tnt loads. I have not had a calm wind day to check the accuracy but I was getting 1 moa using the GUNN 125 tnt at 100 yards Thanks for Subscribing and Commenting - Charles
@TheJackyBear That it was and it was from the north West which played heck with my loads I am hopeing thats why they were all over the place. Will try again Sunday Thanks for Stopping by - Charles

Depending on the spin rate of your barrel you might look at loading a lighter bullet.
