A few years ago two parents went out for dinner. a few hours later the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said "Get the kids and get out of the house, we'll call the police, we dont have a clown statue". the "clown statue" was actually a serial killer that escaped from jail. if you dont post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00am with a chainsaw in his hand. The camera's vantage point is slightly lower than rim height. So the crown of his head appears as though it would bump the rim, not clear it. Just my observation. Sick regardless.

In my Team is a "white" guy & He is between 6'6 & 6'8. When he Dunks he get his Head just 2-4 inches below the rim & he never trained his vertical. So If he would be 7 foot he could easy get his head on Rim level, too.
You can tell this is a good camera-shot because the rim itself is even. You don't see slightly up into the circle like when someone shoots from the court, which exaggerates the jump height. A dead-even shot where you are looking straight at the rim and don't see down into it or up into it. That's how you tell someone's head is even with the rim, and he is.

Yeah but a standard vertical jump is measured from a standing position. There's a big difference between a standing vertical and a running vertical which is what plumlee did.

@DanPrinMan Looks to me like the person filming is about 10 feet off the floor which makes it level for measuring. They are not under the hoop filiming which always makes the dunker look like they are jumping higher....result his head is at least 10' up.
I know I am on a bit of a rant here, but I have to say something. I played ball in college at the juco and D-1 levels. My standing vertical, at its very highest, was 32 inches, maximum 34.5. At 6'2, that is high enough to dunk off a drop step with two hands easily. That is how I know for a fact that vertical leap is the most over estimated number in the game. Your little buddy who can barely dunk with two hands running full blast does not have a 40 inch vertical. Not unless he is 5'2.

I was shocked that almost everyone that was in between 5'10 and 6'2 had much higher reach than I did at 6'3. @DanPrinMan Looks to me like the person filming is about 10 feet off the floor which makes it level for measuring. They are not under the hoop filiming which always makes the dunker look like they are jumping higher....result his head is at least 10' up.

I know I am on a bit of a rant here, but I have to say something. I played ball in college at the juco and D-1 levels. My standing vertical, at its very highest, was 32 inches, maximum 34.5. At 6'2, that is high enough to dunk off a drop step with two hands easily. That is how I know for a fact that vertical leap is the most over estimated number in the game. Your little buddy who can barely dunk with two hands running full blast does not have a 40 inch vertical. Not unless he is 5'2.

Every time there is a video of a white guy jumping high, black people come from everywhere talking about he is not jumping high. Then they are showed proof of how high he is and he high he is actually jumping and they just ignore it.
Then I go to a video of a black guy with arms down to his knees, who can barely get off the ground, and those same people talk about how high he is jumping. Just do not let your blatant racism effect your view on reality.

@messymarv92 Actually it IS common for black people to have longer arms. We would go play basketball (The football) team in College all the time. I was shocked that almost everyone that was in between 5'10 and 6'2 had much higher reach than I did at 6'3. Then I started looking at wingspans in the NBA and it is very obvious that they have incredible arm length. A lot of guys that people think jump high really do not at all.
