I finally got it, I have Vista so security connection manager program was not working for me… I use Total Commander for the phone and used it to delete the regestry, it was a bit tricky to find it… the correct path is ” \\plugins\\\registry\hklm\comm­\internetsharing\settings\Forc­eCellConnection”

It was hard finding that ClearSecurity program, but I did find it. If you all follow the directions this stuff works like a charm. Please remember the Windows Security Program only works on Windows XP and not Windows 7. You need to read that program's system requirements and you would of figured that one out. Anyways thanks so much!

@Bo6us Unfortunately no. What you would have to do is use an XP machine and install the Microsoft program to that. If you run that on Windows 7 it just crashes.

@rdowdy95 It's cool now. I worked my way around it and downloaded the files the program installed directly and installed them myself.

Cannot find the clearsecurity.cab file anywhere. The pocketnow link is dead (but has been captured at 1800pocketpc (hunt around a bit and you'll find it) however the links to the clearsecuirty.cab file are all dead.

Added the cab file but now i cannot get regular internet on my phone. I have internet Explorer and SkyFire but neother one will connect. Did i di something wrong when adding the file?

Dont run it on 64bit o/s, or on win7, it just crashes (the security manager), I had to do that on an XP machine, worked like a charm, thx pocketpc.

DNMEBOY, you need to go to applications -> File explorer. I'd imagine that youre going straight through the document folder off the start menu. File Explorer is to see the cab files

I can get clearsecurity.cab onto my Samsung Jack however when I browse to the folder I put the file in on my samsung jack the file does not appear. No .cab files will. I have no clue how to get around this. Perhaps they fixed the phone so the files wont even show up? Any help/suggestions would be great. ive heard and now know true that for some reason u cant get a ringtone and set it as a .. ringtone, so couldnt u just record a sound and set that as a specific ringtone?

You can record any sound and edit any MP3 to make it into a ringtone. The sound or audio clip just has to meet the minimum requirements. For example, it just has to be less than 300 KB and you can then set it as a ringtone with no problems.

Of course you can, ringtones has to be less than 300 KB per file and wallpapers has to be a certain size. Just google Samsung Backgrounds or Cell Phone Backgrounds, save the images you find at the actual resolutions then transfer them anywhere onto your phone. I use a 16 GB storage card and made a folder called Backgrounds. Works like a charm. =)

I love this video, and I already did this to my htc fuze earlier this past month. I did it a different way, but I had to download a regedit file straight to my phone. It was really simple aswell. Im very happy with it.
