I love how Ghibili Characters looks so alike with other movies. Bring a nostalgic felling, some characters have shoulder length hair because is easier to draw with bare hand without the help o CGI.

yeah i tried that but window movie maker doesent support movie formats, it only splits small clips and lets u put clips together.

yeah for some reason they have this entire movie in spanish but not in english. It appears that america has a life action version of this anime on scifi so right now its illegal to post it on you tube because the american producers hold the rights. It will be available in 2009 in the states because that's when the scifi loses right to own Gedo Senki or whatever it is called in english. I know this shit blows because scifi version of this movie totally sucks.

scifi's is not a version of this anime (and it did suck), this is based on the third book of the Earthsea trilogy by Ursula K. Le Guin. Scifi just kind of mashed it together, and since they held rights to it until this year, it couldn't be released in the U.S.

@duskfantasy2112 Sci Fi channel mashed it all together? Isn't that what Gedo Senki did? Gedo Senki's plot was based on Ursula's first, third, and fouth books of the Earthsea stories.

This film was a treat, as Miyazaki has not actually released something new in quite awhile..

However there was so much left to be desired.. The beginning and ending were so abrupt... And the middle was just abit hollow... So much more of the story I wish I could have known. Ah well, it was wonderful, just perhaps my expectations were much too high.

There was a mini-series based on the Earthsea books awhile back, and it's patent doesn't expire until 2009.

Yes, this is the reason why it's prevent from screening in USA before 2009 or 2010.

It's very annoying to see many american ppl to call it crap (in here or other places where it's discussed about) just cause they can't have it in their theatres same time most of the other world.
