Malmsteen, without a doubt one of the best technicians in the world, but not even in the same class as Clapton when it comes to "songs" and music that will be played 40 yrs later, a tune that you can hum in your head, a song you can call out the words to when they play it on the radio. Malsteen is far more talented in the fast hammer on tech, and 10 notes per second, but has no real soul or meaning in his music. What song of his do you think radio will play 20 yrs from now??
