That chap(ess) was in fact my partner. She was fine in the end but she hit her head hard and was unconscious for a few minutes. They boarded her and took her to hospital, pretty rubbish way to end the day really. Of course I had no idea it was her when I rode past!
Sorry about the pump in your way - looks like you got over it okay (could have been nasty!) - that was mine, it came off just in front of you, when my foot hit it. I realised about 50 yards later and left it - and didn't find it again. Then again, I have had to pick it out the road enough times before, so I think I can live without it.
Heh, it was a bit like when you walk towards someone in the street; you go right, they go right, you go left, they go left. Fortunately I just hopped over it while it was at the right angle. No harm done though :-)
