You are out of your mind if you honestly believe it is that easy to detect termites. What a disservice to any unwitting consumer looking for information! My family has been in the pest control business for three generations and I can assure you that it takes a trained professional to be even moderately certain as to the status of your home and termites.
@Chrispthebugman You know this video is a joke, right? But no, I don't believe "professional" training is required to spot any of the classic hallmarks of wood infestation. Eyes and a flashlight, are, however, required.
