Hi, this is cyberscan from the Wrong Planet. I love the video. I would like to add your video's to an educational CD that I want to put together for parents who come into our local Center. These videos are to be given free of charge, and I thing your will help parents see things from our point of view. I would like some of my students to see some of these as well. They could learn from your example.
Havnt watched the whole video yet, but i can tell it's going to be good, my bro was diagnosed with it when he was about 11 and he's 21 in February so i have a good 10 year understanding of it and before it was well known in Australia.. One thing i find interesting about being the same age as him is that you have a more peer typed relationship with him, im his best, and only friend which saddens me but he seems to be contents staying at home all day. anyway, look forward to watching your videos.
very encouraging... recently diagnosed with AS at 45, have experienced constantly trying to fit into workplaces and constantly being knocked back... dealing with the increasing stress and anxiety of the extra tasks for ASD's whilst trying to do skilled technical work that requires focus and concentration, in an open plan office, has been my block, and after 3 to 6 months of it i am always physically, mentally, and emotionally, exhausted and drained... man or martyr to resist society's inertia?
i couldnt agree more. trying to behave appropriately around neurotypicals is a constant struggle and very tiring. every day i leave my room its a rough shock. trying to act "normal" is a tough expert. i hope more people get to see this video and get some encouragement from it.
