This is the first commercial on this playlist I consciously remember seeing on television which is strange because I'm not that young. I'm 22 not just some preteen that was born yesterday I should've at least seen the Gamecube commercial.

I have never understood why you would play games on a console when you already have a computer that generally can give you much better graphics. At least with a system like this you get better controls rather than worse as compared to computers, but I still don't really see the point.

When you buy a console, you will only have to "upgrade" (buy a new one) in around 6 years

When you buy a PC expect to be forced to buy upgrade parts every year

Controls depends on the console. eg controllers which replace the mouse for analogue sticks are awful.

"Easy to pick up and play" - Depends on software not hardware, and there is a lot more simple software to PC than console, and a lot more free software.

The computer is not so pricey when you consider that you have to have one anyway and that many more games on the PC are free.

"Depends on software not hardware" Put it like this: Any idiot can insert a disc into the drive and start playing, PC gaming however, will put you through hours of installing, downloading patches, typing in serial codes, registering, etc.

@Hedning1390 "The computer is not so pricey" A descent gaming rig will cost you far more than, say, an xbox 360.... Plus, there's the whole lifetime thing, i bought my 360 and my Wii, knowing they wouldn't be obsolete in 6 years.... When you buy a PC, it will go obsolete very quickly, and if you don't keep up, in less than 4 years it will already be lagging with any new games....

So not only is it expensive to buy, you actually have to keep feeding it with pricey upgrade parts!

@Terryracoon You don't need a €2k computer to play on the highest graphics settings. Mine is 3 years old €1k which works just fine, and every € you spend on a console (and accessories) is money on top of your computer as a good computer is needed anyway for other programs

Yes computer games can sometimes have long installing times, but they are not difficult to get through and if you want to skip the registering you can just torrent the game instead of installing it off the disk.

But it's more than enough for internet browsing and video playing.... Hell, the way things are now, you can just buy a console and a netbook or a chinese android tablet... The "if you are on the internet you are on a computer" argument pc-elitists LOVE so much... Doesn't stick so well anymore...

@Terryracoon If you buy a netbook and a console instead of a PC you have hardly saved any money while being much more limited in what you can do. I don't really see the point of that. It is not only low end computers that have become cheaper. Modern PC games do not require you to spend a fortune any more either.
