I'm in favor of my news sources being truthfull and fair. Glenn Beck, along with O'Reilly and Olbermann, obviously are not in any way a credible news source. If they were bloggers i could care less, but the fact that they are presented as news sources with their radical ideals, demagogy and conspiracy theories, is why i think they should be shut down and kicked off the news.

Beck only has only said that once on his show and it seems only when he's being heavily criticised. But the man is just a walking culture of fear. And i understand that he is a commentator, but his show is on the FOX news channel so people take it as news. And the people would be shutting him down, not the government, they have no way to shut him down and the govt. hasn't stolen anything, the people have stolen from the people and then point fingers while expecting the corrupt to help.

Fox is a private company that can choose its content, if Beck has no veiwers they will cancel him. People watching can distinguish between news and opinion. The govt has stolen our rights and freedoms and have shredded the constitution, all members of congress should be tried for treason and punished. I'm sorry but there are no denial of rights to the American people. What most people don't understand is the difference between actual constitutional rights (Freedom of Speech, a senators salary etc.) and the what they percieve to be rights (right to eat at mcdonalds, health care companies denying other people health care, Christmas!), and FOX exploits that. And don't try the whole "slippery slope" ordeal, if FOX gets shut down we'd only have to worry about CNN(because they try to outfox FOX)

Read article 1 section 9 about taxation, how about the D.C. gun ban, what about New London Conneticut and emminent domain, how about forcing the American people to buy healthcare, presidential executive orders, I could go on and on. The supreme court at the time of this case was made up of 4 conservative repubs 4 liberal dems and 1 moderate O'conner. the libs and the moderate voted for this and now eminent domain has a new deffinition. You say taxes are only going up 1.4%. Since its the first of the year I challenge you to track all the taxes you pay for an entire year. sales, property, income, phone, utilities ect. ect then at the end of the year subtract that from your salary see if you are not overtaxed. "Power" may not necessarily have been the correct word here. Government should serve one purpose & that is to protect personal property of the individual, and protect their freedoms. Our personal property includes our mind and body. The private sector is where businesses and people compete in a free market. However now the market is not free because of taxes, subsidies and laws. Remove those and people are free to run their lives as they choose... as long as they aren't hurting someone else.

The localism aspect of these plans is to give the media back to regular people (like you or me).
