@SceptileDude Nope. Do to technical limitations and gameplay issues surrounding from RTS nature of the game, we'e decided not to allow direct control of airplanes. Trust me, you don't want direct control of these things, it's not that great, except for when making movies.
I was playing some arma and though what it the infantry had certain percent chance to survive bullets explosions etc.

Out of interest, why not the PAK FA for the Russian fighter plane? (Nothing wrong with the Flanker though)

@Nohomers48 The PAK FA is still in prototype, it could have a lot of major changes in its development time.

The PAK FA is a prototype which will not come into service until 2016.
The mod is set in 2012.
