@chopperjack40 Maybe you need to go look at the weight differences in those cars..the small block cars got a big weight break..if ive said it once i have a hundred times..the hemi cars were made to run extra ballast(which is weight)...add 3 or 400 lbs to that 331 vega and see how impressive it is...

I saw the Grump the first time at a match race at the Harriman TN drag strip. (now closed). He was running against the "Tennessee Thunder" Hemi duster. They ran the full 5 races, Grump won two. I'm sure that was to put on a good show for the home crowd. I really like the nostalgia drags nowadays. Modern Drag racing has gotten too corporate as most racing has. Gimme cast iron blocks and heads, breaker points and no electronics. Now That's Drag Racing!
