@tooosweeet They should have the blades behind the wing as pushers. This would solve the (psychological) problem. Psychological because u would be history anyway if a rotor failed and it would vibrate to pieces and chopper fall down like a stick.
Two tail rotors and neither one in the right spot. Definitely like Sikorsky's approach better. You'd have to shut down to drop off pax or just accept that sooner or later someone gonna have to clean brains off of the the windows.
The rotor wing should be further back, it's dangerous to be used for rescue missions unless it's further back. The 'rescued' would be chopped to pieces if there was a sudden gust of wind. Good for fast city to city transport though.
First, check the Sikorsky X-2. Completely funded from corporate money, no subsidies. Second, check that the Sikorsky X-2 is a truly innovative design with coaxial main rotor and a single pusher prop. Euro Copter is playing catch-up and is not willing to invest their own money and soul into a new, truly innovative design. The X3 looks like a warmed up leftover dinner with a giant puffy hat on top and clown spinners on the side. Sikorsky wins.
I can’t believe the lake of innovation by repeating the same ideas over and over instead of the danger of tail rotor in conventional helicopters they replaced it with two massive propellers even closer to the ground. I see more components hence more chances of failure and less safety. Actually they might as well create a heli that consists only of rotors and rotors and more rotors surrounding a cabin. Oh and buyers please be careful when inspecting wires. Also note the wing vibration at 6:30
@KuraMad2000 : This was the first prototype. The shaking has been completely solved. This design is proving to be a game changer. Many people first laughed at it. Sikorsky had already designed a different approach. That design however needed a coaxial rotor. These are expensive and difficult to build and even more expensive in operating/maintenance costs. It also leaves less room on the helicopter. Now the X3 is recognized as the best design for fast helicopters. They are no longer laughing.
Side blades will tear YOU into pieces

Is this the competition for the american sirosky ?

@fendertelecaster8225 I doubt it... it looks to be a completely different approach to the Sikorsky

@gppms More blades in far more hazardous places, more fuel consumption, higher maintenance costs.

That looks really dangerous. There are blades spinning close on all sides. No way you could get me to go in that plane.

@tooosweeet your 100% right I've traveled on planes with the blades right next to my window
the vibrations are terrible, don't believe that BS airline companies tell you, plus its noisy as hell and your tense throughout the trip
sikorsky put the blades in the tail

SWEEET! THIS IS EASILY ONE OF THE COOLEST HELO DESIGNS I HAVE EVER SEEN!

This aircraft is easily outdone by Sikorsky's X2.

and only if the rotor wing not breaking up after heavy turbulence, not to mention AAA attack.
