Hola, me podrian informar que exactamente que modelo y sugerir alguna marca de las memorias DIMM que necesita el Motif XF, me queda claro lo de las capacidades quiero las 2 de 1024 pero no quiero hacer una compra de unas FL1024 que no sean las que necesite, gracias.

@MauroRosati ..If you want to,,,you can read more about FireWire400 on wikipedia...and you will discover that Apple started with IEEE_1394 in the beginning of 1980. First introduction to the market was 1986. The original release of IEEE 1394-1995 which you can find on all Apple laptop computers from year 2003. the escense of this is that Yamaha has used an very old technology in something which should represent something new.

@MauroRosati Yes, I have to, since this is a scandal to use 27year old technology in a electronical instrument which cost $4-3000 without any FlashCard and without FireWire 400 card $299. You have to buy those things separtly. Imagen that you have to pay $300 for a technology which is 27years old. Why? because they want to make money on nothing. That is idiotism.

Just tested the motif xf in the music store. Nice WS...however it seems quit cheap & anoying only to be able to buy "FW16E FIREWIRE EXPANSION IEEE1394 S-400 (393Mbit/s)" which is slower than USB2 (480 Mbit/s). Imagen that every Apple LapTop is now days supplyied with Firewire S-800. Is S-400(the stone age) enough? Do we need S-800?

I would say No & Yes..fuk'n..yes. Yamaha customers need a new Firewire Expansion supporting S-800 in motif xf. Simple as that!

Guys I need an advice! I'm about to buy a new Motif. I'm not sure if I should go for Motif XS or the new XF?? I mostly use it for Synths and electric keyboards not so much for pianos. Can you suggest. Thanks

@Daotrito XF, without a doubt, it does everything XS does plus a lot more, it does have more sounds and the ones from motif are better/upgraded/resampled whatever you wanna call it, plus, more very usefull functions. You just don't by odler versions of Yamah keyboards you buy the most recent ;)
