What an amazing guy! Tinashe you've got to get in contact with me mate, we have a lot to talk about. Check out this group on Facebook for Young Zimbabweans in the Uk, you have a lot of fans there! Search for Zimbabwe Diaspora Youth Network UK on facebook!
I absolutely loved what you were saying around 13 minutes. I was in Zambia for two months this past summer and I felt exactly the same way. Being in the village, playing games with, teaching and learning from the children was the most amazing experience of the whole trip. The poverty in Lusaka was a much sadder kind of poverty than that of the village.
I love you TInashe and your music. I'm from Australia and l bought your album the other day, keep doing what your doing and being you l think it sounds incredible . I loved that part about your travels to S.A and the vibe of Capetown and the negative association people have of Africa....more people need to be exposed to that.
Imimi "MZimbabwe1", Nyararai mukomana wacho ari ku trya but ndiri ku funga ari ku wanza zvime zvinu but you have to understand english ppl don't get it thats why he has to simlify it like this im proud of him for representing us don't forget your culture because at the end of the day that will save you.
Zambezi! when i heard that song my body started moving to the beat with out even knowing it. he is just the most tatented musician ive heard in a very long time
Really interesting interview. Me also being from Zimbabwe and growing up here and not necessarily growing up in a predominately black area, its nice to see someone that I can relate my experience to in the spotlight. Really nice summery song too! Good luck!
Really enjoyed that. Very interesting mate. Your such a cool guy!
I agree on the Hip Hop, but I think growing up probably plays a part too because your style and your perspectives change so much. I think the same with RnB too. But then everything is so commercialized these days in those genres with the view of selling records as opposed to making good music.
Saw ya live at the Next Big Thing at Relentless. I'll be hoping to see ya live again soon sometime! Your totally my hero Tinashe!
