2 ways. As knuckles you can double tap the jump button very quickly (as it will make you glide for a split second then fall) or you can push the jump button very lightly while on an incline.

The "Sonic 3 & Knuckles" unloockable did NOT work in Sonic Mega Collection +, I started and exited both Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles each 20 times over, even more, and still, no S3&K, just ???

You must start the game at first and than play it for few seconds and than go back to the main menu and do this twenty times for both games.

you dont unlock knuckles. you play as him when you combine the Sonic 2 or 3 games with Sonic and Knuckles (if you put in number 1 you get a minigame instead)

Basically, they made a specific .ips patch that applied to Sonic 2 and embedded it into the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge. It also contained data that when added to Sonic 3 would restore it to the creators' original vision (Sonic 3 & Knuckles was originally planned to be just Sonic 3, but had to be split due to time constraints and manufacturing costs).

I prefer sonic 2 over this because sonic 3 seems to be slower, however the levels are more vast. This sort of screwed the sonic formula because it feels a lot more like playing mario with sonic.

They're lame because they copy Sonic. It's like copying someone's personality. Shadow is just an ugly Sonic clone. Just give Sonic a gun, black hair dye, and put him in the Blade Runner city. Knuckles is just a red Sonic.

what's not good about it? It has the largest, and most varied levels. Best sense of speed. Most special stages, 2 super forms besides Tails(only gets one)mid level fights, connection between levels, most levels. And it introduced the super sonic final boss fight, but still let you be super-hyper during the levels. Sonic Perfection
