  • My dearest Truus, you did such great job of interpreting the visual images of " Rain Drop" music I love the transition when the color change to grey , it is just how I image when I hear this piece . It is dark but with beauty and grace . Andreas's performance is one of the best intepretation I ever hear , I love the transition full of myetery I can hear the cloud coming before the thuder . So well controlled between both hands . Masterpiece !! Many stars for both of you . Hugs ~Yiling

  • My dearest Yiling, thank you so much for your wonderful compliments for Andreas and me. It was for me an absolute joy and honor to make this video with his great performance!

  • Dear Yiling,

thank you so much for your appreciation, which I would like thoroughly to return. Coming from a musical angel like you this means much to me.

    Have a great sunday

    Andreas

  • bellisimo

  • Thank you!!

  • Of course, this is to my vlog and favorites, so that all listeners on my channel also can see your marvellous work, Truus.

  • Thank you dear Andreas for putting this also on your channel, I feel honored!

  • You did me..again...this Saturday'evening sooo beautiful!!!! Thank you Truus!!

  • Truus maravilloso video

  • Muchas Gracias aAquaAurora!!

  • Very Beautiful ! Very Peaceful ! Even in the storm ! Thank you the three of you ! So, I can see how much clear & important could be just one rain drop ! So,i prefer rain drops on the red rose ! it is awesome ! & more .....! Well, Let there Be Light ! Let There Be Rain Drops ! Everywhere & forever ! ( : - )
  • Thank you coman4ero for your delightful words!!

  • Very impressive collaboration. You did a wonderful job together. This is a lovely treat to your faithful viewers and listeners. Many thanks! ~*V

  • Thank you so much for your wonderful compliments for the both of us!!

  • As soon as I will find the time I will send you a more detailed analyze in a private message (because in the comments here it is not too much space). I´m aware, that there are so much artful details in that video and I really would like to analyze it with the score. Wow, I´m so impressed.

  • Yes please do Andreas, I really like that!

  • Oh, Andreas, I hope you will also copy me on your in-depth analysis. I've often remarked that a course of creative analysis could be managed with the works of Truus alone. Each video is a lesson unto itself. And each lesson reveals added layers, facets and dimension to the artistic process, its presentation and the artists both visual and musical, of course.

All love and respect to both you and Truus,

The 'Raining' Royalty of YouTube. Blue-Truus!

    ~Terry

  • Thank you so much for kind and encouraging comment, my dear Terry. I feel very inspired by this beautiful video of Truus and it´s very interesting to follow again with score and to enjoy all the wonderful details.

  • I also feel this really to be an absolute great collabaration with you, Truus! Thank you so much.

  • It was for sure my pleasure and joy to do this Andreas!

  • The transition between the A-part (major) and the B-part (minor) is also an artwork in both directions. The first time there is the frame and the obscureness of the pictures increases. In the transition back from the B-part to the A-part the brightness of the pictures increases and they become more blitheful respective hopeful, first there is the rose, then the bright drop and the same kind of drop-pictures as in the beginning do appear.

Thank you so much for this great gift!

  • Believe me Andreas how I love it when people analyze! Terry for example is also always analyzing what she hear and see. This is just the way I mostly work and I see it by myself what I am doing, but when others see the same, that really makes me happy.

  • Whereas the more menacing and obscure B-part in minor introduced very nicely with the frame contains the more obscure pictures. It is like a journey into the inner world of the soul. On the ff-highpoint you bring the picture of the woman, which fits very well to Chopin. (Remember his unfortunate relation to George Sand). At the end when the A-part in major comes again, you bring again the lighter raindrop-pictures of the begining and the frame is closed. A true artwork, my dear Truus!

  • When I was at wikipedia to inform myself about the preludes by Chopin, there was an image of the left hand from Chopin and when I saw that, it reminds me on the picture I had used in this video, the woman you mentioned.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for such wonderful compliments, but I want to give those compliments back to you, your performance is absolutely stunning!

What a great collaboration we have here dear Andreas!

  • Wow, Truus, this filmique masterwork moves me to tears. For me this is definitively your best video of all your other videos of high art! It´s truely comparable with the works of old master Oskar Fischinger. The relation between music and film is fantastic and very artful. So do pictures change very often exact with the phrases of the melody. The A-part in major has the brighter pictures with the rain-drops, the more menacing and obscure B-part in minor. (To be continued in the next comment.)

  • As I not was aware of the works by Oskar Fischinger till you pointed me of him, I'll take this for a huge compliment and that makes me humble and shy. But when this can move you to tears, believe me that makes me very happy. In other words your words of praise are just unbelievable.

  • Excellent!

beautiful combination of images and music

I looked out of their channel

and to me, liked it, thank Truus

    Judyesther

  • Thank you Judyesther for your wonderful compliments for the both of us.

I wish you also a nice weekend!

  • Interesting video has turned out, well is in harmony with Chopin music

  • Thank you very much Nik!

  • I love the tempo Andreas has set for this piece. And also the way he picks the melody out so clearly, so light is his interpretation , an absolute joy.

The darker middle section in the minor key is beautifully controlled and the coda emotes optimism in Andreas's expert hands. Not at all like the cumbersome, heavy handed versions of this piece that I have heard all over YT. Truus, your video is a real delight to watch. It is achallenge to make a video to match the genius of Chopin: Bravo!xxx

  • The first lines about the performance by Andreas I leave that to him to reply to you. Let's say as 2 experts and admirers for both performances and compositions.

I thank you warmhearted for your words for the video dear Colin, just great to read those! xxxx

  • Thank you so much for your praise, Colin. It means much to me and I feel very encouraged. It´s so great, that you take the time to listen and to leave such wonderful comments!

  • Truus, it comes as no surprise that our favorite "Filmic Artistic Director" showcased both the delicate beauty and menacing undertones of Andreas's world-class interpretation in such an utterly captivating manner. It is quite a powerful paradox to view an almost balletic relay from droplet to droplet

while listening to a distinct-yet-subtle current of menace pulsing throughout the middle movement. Kudos to you both for your always outstanding contributions to our community.

    Love, ~Terry ♥♥

  • As this piece was nicknamed Raindrop, I just love to do a video with raindrops. I absolutely don't like rain, but raindrops has such a delicacy and that I hear in the performance by Andreas!

  • My dear Terry,

I´m overwhelmed by your great praise and all the noble words you could find for our collaboration work. For me, Truus is a great master of video-art and -technique. That´s such an inspiring collaboration for me! I really have to thank her from the bottom of my heart!

  • Hello friend this is awesome!!! You're a real musician dear Andreas! Wonderful interpretation and also very very honest piano playing...!!!!

  • Thank you so much, dear friend. Your appreciation means a lot to me. Your piano-playing I feel also to be very very honest!

  • Thank you dear Andreas...you are great ! and very kind!!!

  • so very wonderful-thank you

  • Thank you so much dorabum.

  • My mother used to play this on the piano. It was one of her favorite pieces. I miss the music she made. This reminds me of her. She passed away last year. Thank you for posting this, Truus.

  • I'm really sorry to hear that your mother passed away LizziE, hopefully this brings back nice and tender memories.

    Wishing you all the best!
