head somewhere that he's the next Dave Matthews... this guy is good but no FUCKING way hes the next Dave. People really overlook how much of a musical god Dave is, this guy is nowhere near his level.
You can literally guess every single word he rhymes with the next, way too predictable and cliche. Good singer, good guitar player, awful lyricist. Sounds like every other popular, acoustic-guitar solo act: solid talent and shitty, cliche, predictable lyrics. And to give this statement a leg to stand on by showing what good songwriting is, I would say look to people like Andrew McMahon from Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate, to name just one example.
