Basically, yeah. To make money for herself as she doesn't want to live "poorly", and sacrificed Buranko's liver when she died by hanging (Not sure if it was suicide or the Landlady did that), (The liver in which was fed to the customers. XP)
To get revenge, she went and haunted the landlady, killing her in the same way (I think... I may be wrong, you may have to check that XD)
ok so she is hung for somecrime tht apparently she didnt do and her liver was taken by the lady to be cooked and served to the ppl staying at the inn ok but who hung her in the first place was it the old lady and in the end the old lady gits hung an her liver taken out like her victums an the poor grl ghost comebacks and dose this at the end the old lady screams ok tht is one messed up story
@kronokross It is not slang, actually. It is the Tohoku dialect, widely spoken in the north east of japan (that is, Tohoku xD) and it is not only the voicing of 'ta', but also changing '-i' syllabes to '-u' in the end of words, like 'mazusuu' for 'mazushii'.
Okay so there are some things I am a little confused on. Was she hung because the landlady killed an animal without asking to feed the customer and they blamed the girl? Or did the landlady kill another person?
And why does she scream for the landlady to give her back her liver? Did the landlady hang her to take her liver to feed another person? Im just a little confused on it all.
@Pikachukun97 So the Land Lady hangs her? For some reason I thought the villagers hung her because they thought she stole the livers or kill the men or something. I guess this is just one of the few sound horizon songs that confused me a little with how she died. lol.
@daggersnight As far as I can tell, Buranko was hanged by Kusobaba and her liver taken. The revenge tragedy part was the villagers hanging Kusobaba and taking her liver as Kusobaba had done to many other villagers. That's what I've gathered.
@EchoKamelot Check here w w w.pitt.edu/~dash/type0366.html#gallows
The original source of the tale is: Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, "Der Mann vom Galgen," Kinder- und Hausmärchen, vol. 3 (Göttingen: Verlag der Dieterich'schen Buchhandlung, 1856), p. 276).
@Hortensia779 Yes, it is (not in wikipedia, though). Search "Man from the gallows" in Google books and you'll find some sources about Grimm tales where this fairytale is listed as one from the "Grimm's Children's and Household Tales" collection.
@Hortensia779 Late one evening an old woman received guests. She had no more food. She went to the gallows where a dead man was hanging and cut out his liver she fried it for her guests and they ate it. At midnight someone knocked on her door she woke up There stood the dead man. His head was naked he had no eyes and there was a wound in his body. "Where is your hair?" "The wind blew it off" "Where are your eyes?" "The ravens picked them out" "Where is your liver?" "You ate it". The entire story
@DelinArt He refers to Buranko never done anything but she was hanged. In the past, people get hanged if they done a crime or such, but since Buranko is innocent (or she seemingly is), he commented that she has never done any sin.
The one screaming is the landlady. Jimang is so awesome that he can pull different voice, you know :3
@SoundFive According to the reports, on the 9 LIVES that were performed of Märchen Jimang WAS Crossdressing... he even sang with REMI in one encore a parody of Fuefuki Otoko no Parade as the Landlady XD (In fact, that's one of the reasons for waiting for the DVD: JIMANG CROSSDRESSING! XD)

Something about the song: Remi is deliberately singing "ta" as "da" and whatnot as a form of slang. Just saying.

I still don't get the part where Mär says, 'for a sin that you don't even remember committing', and who is the one screaming at the very end?

I think the one screaming is the Landlady...

@Farorai99
The 'give me back my liver' sounds so old, so I first thought it was the landlady,
but then I heard the gYAAAAAAH and that sounds so un-Jimang and child-like , so it was very confusing for me.
