Glad you feel that way, I know its not great but I feel like it works and could mean better sonic games down the road. But every critic hammered because I think its just next gen sonic pointing out every flaw and saying little about what works.
GOD FORBID if any critic ever said anything BAD about GTA, MGS, GOW, or any other PERFECT game, but no they save the bile for game that should be "DEAD" by now.
you realize that it would have gotten a 9.5 if it was Mario Unleashed and if Mario turned into a werewolf it would have been called innovative. I swear to god Nintendo can package human feces and say its just a new innovation and reviewers would praise them for it. I'm not sure if its rampant fanboyism left over from the 16 bit console wars or if the big N pays off reviewers.

Trust me, once you try using the classic GC controller, you'll prefer them over the wiimote and nunchuck. Especially for night levels...
