Anyone know how to get the notes to not appear blank like they do? I followed the video and checked over everything and i think it all looks fine. I tried changing the ShowMenu = false to true so i could select my custom story but doing that throws up a fatal error as it cannot load the script file. any help?

How do emotion stones work? I've been trying out a number of things but it just won't work for me. I can get it to play the right sound when I interact with it and everything, but I have no clue of how to get a proper text displayed on screen. Please help, I can't find an answer anywhere. There are no tutorials on these emotion stones, which sucks...

You have to put your keys in the same category. It works for me.

Set it back to the normal game, then it will work!

Yeah I'm not having any luck. The description and anything else in that lang file just doesn't show up in my game. I don't know if it's in the wrong folder or something (it's in the folder with the settings.cfg) but either way i'm confused :L

Ok, so im pretty sure i have this 100% positive correct, but when i save the map and extra_english.lang, and reload the map, i pick up the note and its still blank...ive tried removing all tags in the text that i dont need and even shortening the text. i even tested it with TITLE and TEXT written in the title and text area and nothing happens, it wont even show the Title in the notes section under journal...

Okay, so I actually got this to work. I've never scripted before, and I'm still learning the basics. So I would consider it quite and achievement to anyone for making a tutorial I can understand, thank you! :D

For some reason it didn't work, the notes still show as blank when I pick them up in game. I even tried the wiki tutorial and it didn't work. It's very similar to this but with a few more lines of data. Any suggestions as to why it's not working?

@sora15151 If the notes are coming up blank, there might be a problem when your .lang file. If you want to send it to over PM, I can take a look at it.

@sochlemu Hahaha, you're not the first 'tard youtube's seen. Making custom stories is incredibly hard. La Caza is one hell of an advanced story with a lot of amazing scripts and environments. Don't go say it sucks when you couldn't have done 2 % of that awesomeness. Sure, Abduction may be better, that's up to the individual player. Maybe you didn't notice but Abduction won first price on the frictional games forum for best custom stories. Russ may not be the best, but he's still amazing.
