  • Can u apply cream foundation with a 187 mac brush??

  • @carolcorreia182409 Yeah, but lightly!

  • @MissxSwaggerlicious Thanks Hun:) x

  • i use cream foundation (mac studiotech) with a sigma 197... that brush gives sheer, but buildable cover doesn't emphasize my pores! i love it!

  • @thehumanforehead Good combo!!

  • Hi girl, that whas realy a great review & tutorial.

I've never tried the cream foundations, but now i'm very curious.

Thanks for the tips how to use them. :-))

    Big 5***** xoxox

  • Thank you!!

    x

  • fab video! thanks

  • No Problem:)

  • your eye makeup is so gorgeous.

  • Thanks Doll;)

  • i (L) your accent ^.^

  • Ha ha, Thank you!

    x

  • Aw Thank you:)

    xx

  • Watching your videos is a welcomed change and I mean that in the best way possible. It seems like everyone does the same things all at once and I get something different from you. Thank you! Hope you're feeling better soon!

  • Aw Thank you! That's lovely to hear. I'm on the mend thanks:) I get suprised sometimes that certain things haven't been covered much in vid's on Youtube!

    xx

  • Great vid !

I wanna do some basics vids too but i'm not sure my subs would like that or not. 0-o

Some of my brushes have a weird end so I can actually take some product on the back of my hand with them.

Cream foundations are amazing but I have to say that nothing can beat Max Factor pan sticks when it comes to coverage lol.

  • I've never actually tried Their pan sticks. Do they wear nice?? I say go for it with the basics videos, especially while stuff is fresh in your mind from school. More people than you'd think use Youtube to learn all this stuff. I still look for videos on basics to see what I can learn new!! I'd watch them:)

    xx

  • I have the pan stick from Max Factor also.

If you want realy hihg coveridge..that one is realy one with the wow factor!!

I don't use it often, but in a darker shade it's great for contouring.

The coveridge is realy high,i'm thinking to high for a natural/every day look. But that's my humble opinion.

  • where can u find pro stores in ireland? mac that is! =]

  • You can't:( The only Pro Store in Uk & Ireland is in Carnaby Street, London. Annoying, I know!!

  • is there something you can do to improve the video quality?

    ...especially on the eye tutorials....

  • Not really:( Not til I can afford a camcorder. Only have my built in i-sight on my Mac to use for the moment. Camcorder is high on my list of must haves tho!

  • I love cream foundations!!! They give best result on me. But it go through them so fast. :(

I want to try the mac one next time :) it is more pigmented.

  • It is very pigmented!

  • Very helpful - thanks!

I rarely use cream foundations because I have fairly oily skin and I'm prone to break-outs so I'm just afraid that cream foundations will separate on my skin and generally look bad (oh, and break me out!). The extra bit of coverage sounds pretty appealing, though...

  • Oh I'm usually the same as you but this winter really did a number on my skin so I'm actually glad for the bit of oil!!

  • Tutorial on your make up look?

    Lipstick is gorgeous on you

  • It's up now Hun:)

  • i use urban decay cream powder foundation, i love it and the color is just perfect, but if you use it everyday it wont last that long its about $34 and i use smashbox primer under....u say ur sick? u look great girl! thanks for ur vids :)

  • Cheers Hun:) On the mend now.

    xx

  • i have oily skin and i mostly use liquid foundation with loose powder above (if i want the makeup stay the whole day and night)

what do you think about the dream matte mousse from maybelline? there is so much advertising about this on tv in germany... it seems kinda creamy too

i always have problems to find the right shade for my skintone. do you have some tipps for selecting the right one?

    greets from germany

    juicynade

  • It's impossible to match foundation shades without seeing your skin in real life. I say go to a local makeup counter and get matched by the counter artist. They'll be able to tell you your undertone etc.

  • FYI- The MAC Full Coverage is the exact same formula as their concealer, so you wouldn't need a separate concealer with this cream - just build the coverage over any discoloration.

  • Thanks Doll:)

  • you are beautiful also without make-up excuse my English! Kiss;-))))

  • Aw Thanks, That's really sweet:)

    xx

  • Skindianvia make up setting spray has really helped me with getting longer ot of my foundation.

  • Never heard of it. Where did you get it??

  • I like cream foundations generally, but some are chalky. I told you before about the Kryolan Micro foundation cache...it was just horrible ;p but I have tried Kryolan Ultra foundation and it is actually really creamy and applies nicely with a sponge, then buffed in with a flat brush. COver fx is good, another one I like is Joe Blasco cream foundation. Shu Uemura Nobara cream foundation is terriffic too....as you can probably guess I have tried loads!! My skin is just so weird.

  • I really want to try out the Shu Uemura one actually!! I'd say the chalky ones are cream to powder ones?? Or at least ones that contain powders like silica etc??

  • The Shu Uemura is lovely, very light and soft to blend, especially for a cream. I would go for a very light shade as I got what I thought was light but it was too yellow.I think 584 would be good. Oh Jaysus what a geek.............

  • Thanks Hun:) Will definately hav to check it out!

  • is a cream base better for dry skin?? could i mix it with my rimmel liquid foundation

  • Yeah kinda, It suits normal to drier skins much more than it does Oily skin anyhow!! It has emollient in it, oils, greases etc

  • you have such lovley big eyes i wish i had more space to put shadow.

  • Thank you:)

  • i reali love this look on ya u look great honey ... thanx for this ... ur make up is amazing wow

  • Aw Cheers:)

  • Your eye make up is gorgeous Siobhan! Cant wait to see the tutorial. xx

  • Thanks Linda!

    xx

  • Thanks...!~

Ya i'm not crazy about cream foundations..they do last a bit longer on some ppl and depending on make..they cover really well..They are really heavy though..and I feel them on my skin..even applied lightly..

MK used to make a cream covered foundation..and i really loved it..but I always broke out from it..lol..but I so liked the finish..

Some have coconut oil in them..which is what u want to stay away from..if prone to break outs~ Thx so much..!~ I'm a foundation junkie..lol..

  • Lol:) Me too!!

  • I use a kabuki with my Chanel cream foundation. Not a brush you would think to use but it gives an amazing finish.

  • I'd say it does, but I'd imagine it could be tough to clean after!!

  • Whoo! Look at those eyes! :) You look gorgeous.

    Fantastic video!

  • Ha ha, Thanks!

    xx

  • Really informative, thanks!!!!

  • No problem Hun:)

    x

  • hun can you suggest me a formula or company that works for oily skins but doesnt change color..i have used makeupforever hd, revlon color stay for oily combination skin, and mac's studio tech cream foundation..the prb is half an hr or an hr later, i am a shade or more darker, and it gets nastier with time..every foundation that i have tried makes me more orange..its fine when i put it on, but i have no clue what happens...i have a very oily T zone..but rest is normal..

  • I would use a very light weight foundation..The ones u mention are meant for long wear..[absorb into skin]-which might explain why they change color in time for u~if u are really oily- over the course of day..

..If u don't need awhole lot of coverage in that area..but only use it to have it as a base to add other products..then use a light touch and cover it with ..HD powder..later in the day too..or blot papers..I would try a regular normal-oily foundation..I like maybeline mousse..?

  • Try a primer in the T-Zone - it helps minimize the oxidation that is happening with your foundation.

  • That's a bit weird if it happens everywhere. Usually just happens where there's oil produced. An oil control primer might help, also try going a shade or so lighter than normal since it darkens on you, so this might settle to a more normal colour!

  • Hi! I like the look , can't wait to see the turorial. Also I have a question that cream foundation is similar to studio tech im very confused

  • Studio Tech is way different. Tech has emollient, liquid and powder in it where as full coverage is just emollient. Tech sets itself cuz of the powder!!

  • I love hearing people say craic in YouTube! Come on the Irish - loving the representation!

  • Ha ha, Yeah I suppose it's not a word you'd hear often here!!

    x

  • holy hot makeup!! you look amazing. You should deff do a tut on it.. Thanks for the helpful tips :)

  • Lol:) Thanks Missus:) Uploading tut as I type:P

    xx

  • I used to use the Maybelline age rewind cream foundation and loved it. Didn't think it was too heavy or harder to apply and I was just using the spongie that came with it. I should try the MAC one though. Thanks for the vid :) xx

  • I never tried that one. Actually I only recently started using cream bases but I like them:)

    x

  • Its a great look, love to see it in a yellow, blue, pink look.

  • I bet you would, Maybe you can be in my next video and we can try the yellow, blue, pink out on you!! :P

  • great video! helps alot!

keep the videos coming! and you loook soooo pretty too love the make up

  • Aw Thanks:) Loads more to come!

    xx

  • hiya, im just wondering is this foundation like a bigger version of the studio finish concealer. I havent got a mac pro near me, so i was wondering if the concealer is the same thing..

could you let me know...many thanks..x!

  • Hey:) I don't think it's the exact same but similiar. I think the concealer is a bit thicker and has a bit more pigment in it but I'm sure you could try it out and sheer it out and have it look great. TBH for the price and size though, it's a bit of a waste of money. I'd say try out other brands. Most do cream foundations!!

  • Hi!!! What do you think of mineral foundation? x

  • I like it:) Will be including mineral foundation in this series:)

    xx

  • Thanks for all the info on this type of product. I can't wait to see the tutorial on this green shadow look, it's amazing! Also, I have a small request: can you pronounce your name for us. I'm not familiar with this name and I'd love to hear it out loud.

    Thanks!

  • Ha ha, I get asked that alot:) I've said it in a few videos before but I'll try sneak it in again sometime soon:)

    xx

  • can't wait to see tutorial for green look! :)

  • Thanks! It'll be up soon:)

  • Hey,

What shade are you at mac? Because the last time I got foundation there, they matched me at NW15, which I believe is the lightest you can get, but it was REALLY orangey.

The one you're using seems perfect for palid Irish skin tones though :P

    x

  • @Yipenyapen try nc15

  • @Yipenyapen .... MakeUpMadeEasy is right. I'm wearing Nc15 here. The Nc's are paler than the Nw's. Though I still find the Nc15 a bit too yellow sometimes!!

  • your look its soooooooooo pretty, i love it!!!!!!! excelent video 5*

  • Aw Thank you!

    x

  • want want want this full coverage foundation!

Thanks for this tutorial :) I think it's a great option, I use liquid foundation but I would like to try a CREAM foundation! :D

    xx

  • thank you for this video :)

  • You're welcome! I love making instructional vid's:)

    xx

  • whats your favorite type of foundation? powder liquid or cream?

  • Probably liquid. It's just what I'm used to really, though when my skin is bad like at the moment it doesn't really give enough coverage and that's why I'm trying out heavier formula's!!

  • o.o crazy eye shadow! i love it!
