  • @josemanuelraul hahaha, good one!

  • from its decoration, it was no battle sword! but a court sword for display.

  • oh!! I know this sword!! the legendary sword: 越王勾践!

  • @Heeza .......its nice! and could be a good slashing blade, (for fighting off an assassin in his rooms), but not against shields and armor or a heavy axe on a battlefield.

  • @acerb45666555 oh i think this sword would cut the mustard (among other things) perfectly well in battle the kings were ALSO trained in archery so theyed primarily shoot arrows

  • I would not call it magic. Alchemy/metallurgy/science+ lots of experience.

That may actually equate to a magic all it`s own. Like all lost arts man will attempt to disprove, deny or casually cast it aside. If there is no mgic then someone should be able to replicate it.

  • It is beautiful! I heard that the metalergist used crome in the process to keep it from oxidizing.

  • buried for over two thousend years yet it show no rust? is it magical?

  • It seems the scabbard had an almost air-tight fit.

  • yeah buts its untarnished and it was buried underground for thousends of years with water

  • that's because it did

  • It's not magic: bronze doesn't rust. (It does turn green when exposed to sulfur.) It also appears to be coated either in lacquer or some sort of finish.

  • lacquer? did it exist in those time? what is it?

  • Lacquer is a substance made from the shell of the Lac bug, hence the name. I don't know if it exsisted during that time. Grab an ecyclopedia.

  • bronze doesn't rust but turn green mate=] i remember that seems bbc have a tv program for this sword too

  • not all metals rust. go back to highschool

  • bronze rusts, bronze weapons from the same time period have rusted to nothingness.

  • CCTV...chinese tv hahaha

glad i can understand...this sword is awesome...
