  • Nice dish, chef! For those who don't drink alcohol, it cooks out, no worries! You just are left with the flavor. I have made similar sauces and served to children. There is no alcohol in the final dish.

  • Correction MOST of the alcohol cooks out but all of it is never cooked out. Believe me I'm culinary school.

  • "Believe me I'm culinary school." ... you are? You ARE culinary school?!?! Wow! I am honored to be corrected by Culinary School! ... Hey, not really... just playin' Actually I did not know that. Thanks for the info. But I'm sure that the final alcohol content is negligible, right?

  • lol srry I didnt mean to make it sound like it did but ya I dont think a kid could get drunk or even a buzz depending on how much you put in there and how long you cook it.

  • yea...umm...i don't drink vodka, too strong...does it still taste the same without it?

  • you probably could not make this exact sauce without vodka, but the alcohol will cook off-a lot if you cook it longer then he did.

  • The whipping cream (white) combined with the puree (red) makes the pinkish/orange color. This tastes really good though...especially when prosciutto is used

  • why is it orange?

  • cream...

  • Am impressed, looks like a recipe i'd use!

  • I AM SO IMPRESSED- SIMPLE AND AMAZING.
