@fhjundi Actually ... I think it has much to do with any country that turns a blind eye to providing justice when women are being killed in the so-called name of honor. While Jordan is certainly more advanced than others in that region - the Kingdom still is reluctant to stand against these barbarous acts. So, instead of criticizing the message ... try to change the world ... or perhaps one small piece of it. (PS ... I very much enjoy Jordan and spent many months there.)

Living in the Middle East and being active in the local community, I can attest that it is ignorance that will lead people to do acts like these - whether they are muslim, christian or jewish. These are cultural practices. It has got nothing to do with Islam or its teachings. Even in India, some Hindus practice Honor killings. It happens a lot in the developing countries, especially the third world.

An Indian girl once told me that her father seized her passport and was forcing her to get married. Luckily she escaped with the help of her friends.

I suggest you let go of your ignorance and do some research. Honor killings is practiced among Hindus & Sikhs also in India with a regular pattern. This does not make it right at all for Muslims to do it. It is a serious crime and the perpetrators should be severely punished.

In Pre-Islamic Arabia baby girls were buried alive, which Islam forbid strongly. A marriage without the woman's permission is forbidden in Islam.

Although 'theoretically' prohibited by Islam; it is still commonplace and this video speaks to the Islamic Honor Killings and how it is being practiced in Western civilizations - I may make a separate video on Hindu & Sikhs. Tribal customs and practices such as female infanticide date pre-islamic history. Islam denounced and prohibited such practices. No doubt this is a serious and shameful problem that still exists in middle eastern culture, but the claim that these killings are an Islamic "religious duty" is based on ignorance and hypocrisy.

It seems to me that to condem these atrocities as being "perpetuated by Islam" refelects a lack of comprehensive knowledge about the religion. According to the Qur'an and Sunnah, Islam does not support these kind of senseless and hateful crimes.
