  • My dad coached Dermontti in high school in the '80s. Then a few years ago Dermontti's kid was on a high school team in town (different school) and dad coached on that team too. But he was a quarterbacks coach not a line coach so I guess he technically didn't coach him. At any rate, put him in the HOF for God's sake!

  • How many of them have died of steroid use yet?

  • @SourMcSkittles A 2009 investigation by ESPN into the Steelers history with performance enhancing drugs found an alarming number of former players suffering from heart ailments. Since 2000, 17 former Steelers have died before they reached the age of 59. That list includes former Steelers guard Terry Long who tried to kill himself with rat poison after testing positive for steroids in 1991. He died in 2005 after drinking antifreeze.

  • Offensive Guard #72... Gerry Mullins (1971 - 1979)... Four Super Bowl championship rings. Not bad.

  • I think Alan Faneca's stint as a Steeler qualifies him a spot on here...

  • “Linemen are literally the unsung heroes of the game. Their situation is analogous to the infantry in warfare. They do the hard, bitter fighting for victory. As the generals reap the headlines in war, the backs reap the headlines in football. Yet in their hearts, the generals and backs know that victory and the accolades came to them through the work of the footsoldiers and linemen.”

  • The Saints aren't really 'gold'. Their more of a tan brownish color. There is a distinguishing difference.

  • the saints are the real black and gold

  • Steelers founded in 1933. Saints founded in 1967. Steelers have won 6 Super Bowls while the Saints have 0. Steelers record all time: 526-493-20 while the Saints record all time: 273-375-5. The Steelers are the real black and gold.
