This is the kind of videos I am making now. They take a lot of work and your videos are excellent. Do you have any airchecks of 1440 WFTQ Worcester? They may have been WNCR or WAAB in the 70s.
Thanks, glad you like them. Yes, they really are a lot of work, but worth it to have each group as a one-click option here on video rather than scattered on many different audio tapes (and of course with no matching logos) packed away in boxes..
Sorry though, I wouldn't have anything from the stations you listed..
That's cool. I have some Boston radio airchecks that I will be posting in the future. I found that it is great to have the one-click option on my material, too. Hopefully you could post longer-length airchecks of some of these stations.
its no wonder that genral tire commercial is still fresh in your heads. it played every 5 minutes and was basically tatooed into out teenage brains for life. to this day, when I hear cerain songs or parts of certain songs, i remember the ads for the records and the voice over announcing what record label they were available on.
Is there one of those illusive WEEI Newsradio airchecks floating around anywhere... on the planet? Those are the ones which are really hard to find.. in fact I've scoured the net for them and can't find anything.
I have a subway car billboard card for WEEI Newsradio 59 from around 1974 (I did use parts of the companion ad WEEI-FM in this video). These ad cards were used over the windows in the interiors of the trains. I do not seem to have any 70's sound of WEEI AM. But I do have something from the mid-80s, somewhere..
@MSTS1 I haven't been there since 2000 but they had an old T Bus at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunk ME and there were ads in it for local TV and radio stations like WRKO (Williams, Brudnoy, "Talks A Great Game")
Can't say exactly, depends on the project and how many elements are involved. Productions that you see here can take days or weeks to create, some like Electro-Boston take many months. I've made 'short' animation movies that individually have taken nearly two years to complete.
Beautiful memories. Thank you.

Very cool copies of Mike Addams on WRKO doing his screaming evening show, taking phone calls, "WRKO Hellllooooooooo!!"

As for Joe Sobel heard at 6:15 - he's still heard doing AccuWeather around the country, including New York's 1010 WINS.
As for WEZE at 6:35 - sounded like Leif Jensen, dinnit?

I haven't even heard Sobels' name since the era of this; and yes, that is Jensen reading the ID for WEZE.

Exactly how long does it take you to create and render these 3D logo renderings and logo replications and slides, etc?
