OMG! Car Hit and Flipped By Wrecking-Ball in NYC!

when i saw the ball start swinging I thought momentum equals mass times velocity. then, i thought it would be considered an elastic collision and observing that the ball came to a complete change of direction and the collision was perpendicular the car's vector brought no momentum to the collision, but took off with momentum proportional to the weight of a wrecking ball moving at approx 15 fps, which i realized didn't add up. then the bus blocked my view. then i realized it was a Styrofoam ball.
