As for the younger children should only Trick or treat in the afternoon & then the older ones at night. Any parent you takes a young child at night to a place like this? must be braindead?

By the way, I totally agree with what you stated in the video's description about warning parents that it's not for little kids. No one can complain if their kid comes out of it needing therapy.
@ProfessorEggflesh Exactly. We're not the type that go out on the sidewalk looking to make kids cry. You can see our haunt a mile away. If someone's kid can't handle it, they need to get their candy, and continue on. We don't make anyone go through for the candy. There is a chicken clause! :)

Yo Bro! I was wanting to find out if the weather cooperated for you this year or not. I was hoping to see more great stuff by you. My wife, son, and I decorated up a bit. Turned out decent for a quick put up. I actually made a "scary picket fence" out of card board boxes..Painted em up taped and staked em and spread out some cobwebs...Turned out alright I think..
Well "Sorta" back at ya. I sent my son out to take some quick pics of the set up before It got too dark while I was painting myself up and his version of pics left alot to be desired..All told they are FAR from what you and Dingleberry(AKA Chainsaw whom I like to call Buzzkill) are putting together..BUT as weak as it is..It's a start..I know it will get better as the kids get older and I have more time to devote to scaring folks and not going trick or treating. Course I'll miss those days too...

I haven't paid the hosting bill on it. It's back up for today and tomorrow, then I will be paying it Friday. The video is still not ready, as I also can not fix my computer until next week. I have to order a new mainboard then wait for it to arrive. :(
Repair computers? Cheaper than paying someone or buying a new one! :D The board is costing me $65. Can't imagine what it would cost to have someone do it for me.
@ProfessorEggflesh - Actually, when I bought my wireless router they offered a service costing $130 to come to my home, set it up, and configure 3 devices to correspond with the router. I told them that service is for people who have never even seen a computer. Anyway, great channel. This place looks awesome!

As I've mentioned to others, do it like I did...make it bigger each year, even if only by a little. We started out with 2 guys and some hay bales! Added to it every year, and now we are here. It will take years, but unless you have thousands of dollars to spend recklessly, it's the only way.

I know. A good camera is much needed for better night shots. TOT'ers start early here, but we still have night time to shoot, and all of our cameras do not have night shot. So it is what it is, and always will be. :(
get a camera by sony they got great deals on camera's $200-$400 for digitals video or still shot camera's. or a flip mino HD I got one those really great quality HD or not.
How did you get the chainsaw to start so easily. I have to pull start mine a couple times before it starts up and by then people have already past me. They hear me trying to start it and that kinda takes the scare out of it. Yours is perfect nice job
It's just a good saw, and it's not movie trickery. It actually does start first pull almost every time. Leatherface swears by the Stihl, which is what he uses.
the trick is keeping it warm, when its cold outside its hard to keep the saw warm. So when nobodys around light it up a few times every 20 seconds or so. Should start when u want it 2 just as long as it stays warm. If it doesnt, you prob have a crapy saw (no pun intended)
Agreed! I understand the allure of props, and it's hard to get people to help sometimes, but we've been lucky enough in the past few years to have people wanting to help. More monsters = more fun. :)
ahahaha! i love it. did the same thing last year. it was funny to watch all the girls run. as soon as u crank that chain saw on they just start runnin. i dun know if u had this problem but my chain saw would get really hot and over heat so id have to let it cool for a while before i could start it again which killed alot of time and lost alot of scares...
By the costume do you mean the costume itself, or the masks? The undermask I made myself, and the hockey mask I got from Efex Alive Studios (no longer online to my knowledge). But the costume itself is the standard Jason costume sold in Halloween stores. We basically just spray painted it to dirty it up a little with black and "blood" red.
we did the same at my house it was crazy we had 2 clowns with chainsaws,1 coffin,2 dead bodies hanging from the top,flashing light and a lot scary crazy looking monsters a lot of people were very satisfied we are going to do it longer next year.

Leatherface is a friend that lives and breathes the character. I couldn't/wouldn't ask for another! He's the shizzit. Since he's joined the crew, our haunts have become that much more popular.

An extremely scared patron is all. :) She was apparently loving it because it was their second time through. She kept falling to the ground and screaming!

Thanx! And yeah, we've been moving so much lately it's been at a different house since 2002. So in 2003 we were moving to Florida, and couldn't do a haunt. In 2004 had to come back to MI from FL for a funeral so couldn't do it then. Did 2005 in FL, back to MI in 2006 at my sister's house, then 2007 in our house, then we moved again taking 2008 to our present location. Would be nice to be in the same place each year. But we'll be moving again when we finally buy a house, then it's permanent!
We don't spend terribly much. I make most of the items we use, so it's a matter of buying materials. But if I had to guess how much we spend, no more than 3-500.

By the costume do you mean the costume itself, or the masks? The undermask I made myself, and the hockey mask I got from Efex Alive Studios (no longer online to my knowledge). But the costume itself is the standard Jason costume sold in Halloween stores. We basically just spray painted it to dirty it up a little with black and "blood" red.

i live in MA but this looks like a hell of a lot of fun.
i got a Haunted House near me, and it's the same, "Can't touch them, they can't touch you" which i think takes away some of the fun.

we did the same at my house it was crazy we had 2 clowns with chainsaws,1 coffin,2 dead bodies hanging from the top,flashing light and a lot scary crazy looking monsters a lot of people were very satisfied we are going to do it longer next year.

Leatherface is a friend that lives and breathes the character. I couldn't/wouldn't ask for another! He's the shizzit. Since he's joined the crew, our haunts have become that much more popular.

awesome we did the same to our house im going to be doing it everyyear except there was one huge prob...there werent enough of my friends there and not that many trick or treaters

Thanx! And yeah, we've been moving so much lately it's been at a different house since 2002. So in 2003 we were moving to Florida, and couldn't do a haunt. In 2004 had to come back to MI from FL for a funeral so couldn't do it then. Did 2005 in FL, back to MI in 2006 at my sister's house, then 2007 in our house, then we moved again taking 2008 to our present location. Would be nice to be in the same place each year. But we'll be moving again when we finally buy a house, then it's permanent!

We don't spend terribly much. I make most of the items we use, so it's a matter of buying materials. But if I had to guess how much we spend, no more than 3-500.

yeah chainsaw gets hot, it just runs out of gas faster. But STIHL products always start on the first pull for me just as long as you keep them warm
