Wow, fantastic! It was a little slower, but i actually like that. I'd rather here it played right and under speed, than at speed with mistakes. Great Job
Heres the trick. You can connvert this vid to an audio mp3 file at a site called audioripit daht cahm. (This wouldnt post here unless I misspelled daht cahm).
I too like how you play it a bit slower. You can actually hear the beautiful harmonies and melody that Schmidt has put together rather than just a mush of notes in some cases. I also enjoyed the slightly extended ending, but at the same time, the abruptness adds something to the piece as well. Fantastic job! :)
Great job! That was just fantastic.... just one tip! just try and speed it upa bit... sounds great but the tempo was just a little slow... not much but it sounded amazing! 5/5
There were so many things about this version that made it far superior to the others. First off, you encourage those of us that haven't had formal training in your ease and confidence. Second, I believe others have sacrificed the accuracy of the notes in favor of speed. You haven't. And third, your keyboard sounds better than any piano. I'm going to look for an RD 700 SX myself and I have a yamaha! GREAT JOB kid.
I actually wanted to play it slower to see how it would sound. I can play it the same exact way that Schmidt plays it, I just got bored of always playing it that way.
I couldnt answer you accurately since this video is 2 years old, but I certainly took me a few months learning it without practicing a lot though. I remember that I learned the second half in about 3 days because I had a concert and I was short in time.
this is a really nice audio/visual setup. Just out of curiosity, what did you do it with. Is it an integrated microphone on the camera, or separate? You did a very nice job with the song, although it was slower than it is traditionally played. Nice version though!
it wouldn't be correct to say that it's too slow, because its at a good pace in which a lot of people enjoy because they can actually hear how it would sound and not judge on it's speed.
Malade Vince, J'viens d'en écouter une couple d'autres et le seul qui t'accote c'est le p'tit mormon roux, ya tout un flow ;) mais t'es mieux produit.
Good job! I love Jon Schmidt! I'm learning waterfall right now...I'll bet you'd be way better at it though! you should learn it and post a video! oh! and you should learn dumb song too!
I love this interpretation , playing it slowly highlights how amazing this song is ( to me ) . Still can't play this song , but 3 videos on youtube give me the inspiration to try again to play it with Thwacks and yours being 2 of them and obviously Jon's .
Thank you very much for your comment. I'm glad that my version is in your top 3 of all of me songs :) Send me the link to your version when u'll be done at learning it. ( If you're planning to make a youtube video, of course)
Thanks alot. By the way, what you hear behind the piano isn't only the reverb. I always use a kind of slow pad because I like the effect it gives to the piano.
Nice! I wasn't sure I liked the reverb effect at first but it turned out to work nicely with the slow but ACCURATE style you went for, which came out very well. One of the best versions of All of Me on YouTube so far!
Thanks for the comments. By the way I decided to play it a little bit slower because 90% of the people playing this song on youtube play it too fast. Also, the secret why it sounds so good, it's because this isn't the sound from the camera :) I should post one or two video or Rick Wakeman covers really soon.
Well wow. U have syncronized the sound perfectly, i am interested to know how u did that, saying it was slow was not a bad thing, if anything , the hole song is a lot more clear to the ear. do you know any other jo nschmidt songs?
My father used a program called Pro Tools to do the whole thing. At the moment, I don't know any other jon schmidt's songs but I was thinking about learning Waterfall or Ridin' West. ( if you want more information about the Pro Tools, send me a private message and I'll ask my father.)
very accurate sounding version of all of me, nice sound as well from the keyboard. it was slightly slow tempo from which it should be played, but no worries about that cus its ur video. however you did seem to pick up slightly at the end which was good. looking forward to your next video :)

Ezcellent in every way. Perfect speed throughout, perfect tempo, your piano sounds amazing, and such a graceful poise to the keys.

How long have you been playing? and have you had anyone to teach you or are you self taught like myself?
SuperCraigm 2 years ago
I have had lessons for almost 12 years actually, but I never practiced a lot, that has been my weak point, I could have been better than this.

It's a nice rendition... Even a good "new version"... But in my opinion it's harder to learn the rhythm Schmidt imposed.
Good work nonetheless.

You do realize on original core music there ist actually a written tempo...
SO performers preference
Personally i think this peice sounds better on a normal piano not an electric one u can get better rings

do you have a real piano? @.@
playing on a keyboard gives it a nice but horribly artificial tone.

No, I don't have a real piano, but I prefer the sound of mine compared to a lot of piano I've tried.
