  • Doobie Brothers? Interesting music choice, great band... but China Grove is in Texas!

  • There is lots of the conveyor belt Sushi in Japan. There's one in Kyushu (Forgotten where it is exactly) similar to that restaurant.

  • i luv sushi ^^

  • Where in Tokyo was this restaurant?!

  • mmm icecream ..

  • Was that くら寿司?

  • 回転寿し

  • I mean the Restaurant name.

I think I've been there before XD

It was called くら寿司|回転寿司, I think.

  • I can't believe I haven't watched this one yet! Let's just say many a 'lol' ensued

  • rofl copter... I'm glad you liked it. Thanks :-)

  • Can you hear them making fun of your ANOO and EETOO in the background? Not sure if you were using them as a joke, but seriously, it's so awkward when people try to sound Japanese by filling in their spaces with cutesy sounding anime words.

  • Other than that--good video. I like the way you edit!

  • me too. but the music sucked in this one. no props for that

  • A music lover like you isn't an old school Doobies fan. You'll hate it if I start pumping the Allman Brothers then.

  • actually i'd be alright with the allman bros.

  • Yes, I am aware this is not how Japanese people speak/sound. I am really not good at the language yet and around native speakers who know my low ability level I tend to embrace this fact with incorrect "cutesy sounding anime words." Clearly not your brand of humor.

Nonetheless,it does effectively break the ice and communicate the "I know I suck at Japanese, but I'm going to take a swing anyway" message.

  • Yeah but the sooner you drop them, the sooner you'll be taken seriously as a language learner.

Because even if nobody says anything, they are judging and forming an opinion of you when you communicate like that, and not everyone has the insight to understand North American Humor.

It's one of those habits you don't realize you dislike until you hear someone else doing it. You'll understand one day, I promise!

  • Cool. Thanks a lot for the insight. I make a lot of social mistakes without even knowing right now and I can use all the help I can get. Enjoy the rest of your time in Canada.

  • geez, ciaela. you just come right out and say it.

  • I'm used to it.

  • looool

i loved the end where u asked everyone how there icecreams were

Ahh sugoi! (dunno how to spell it)

    すごい?

    i just started learning lol

  • Haha thanks. Around native speakers it can be really intimidating to try Japanese.
