jail breaking is not illegal, it only voids your warranty and it does not harm your device you can just restore on itunes and will go back to factory settings. it is really the best thing you can do if you like to customize you devices

@peterko10ko I have jailbroken my ipod and it broke from dropping it so many times i restored it before i sent it to them since it was requested to see if that fixed it but it didnt they fixed it soo they boviously dont know it would make the screen dimmer than as low as it gets makign itlook turned off when i barely moved it so they gave me a knew one ps after you drop your ipod around idk 100 times this happens

what warranty? it expires after 30 days i think. you cant insure the phone anyway might as well jailbreak it. if you want to customize everything and see what the iphone can really do. if you think the apps are amazing jailbreak it and you get even better apps and more games for free. don`t be afriad of jailbreaking, relax, if u don`t want the jailbreaking and want it back to normal, go to itunes and connect ur iphone/Itouch and click restore, it will restore your iphone/itouch like new ^^

Nope, i now stay with the Cydia installer (downloads themes for WinterBoard) i like those alot, so i think i just hold installer as a backup, since most repo's are kinda offline sometimes, or changed places, wich causes them not to work properly.. but okay.

(i tink cydia is also available for firmware 2.0 and lower, so give it a try)

I struggled with that same problem. Many say you can SSH into the phone and delete the lockscreen.jpg. I did SSH into the phone and just renamed the file. SSH to var/mobile/library you'll see a file at the bottom called lockedscreen.jpg I renamed that file and am now able to change backgrounds again.

its a complicated process my friend, you have to SSH into your iphone and then change the Customize apps Permission code thingie..look up tutorials for SSH

You don't have to go into any SSH shit. There is a very simple fix for this. I assume you are using 1.1.4. So go into tweaks (1.1.4), and find SUID Lib Fix and install that and customize will work.
