The baker is traditionally a small actor...There is a line in the second act where the Steward tells Cinderella, "This SMALL man wishes to see you..." Chip Zien was smaller than Joanna Gleason in the original Bway cast....
I wish this had been directed better - the singing is wonderful and the actors are great, but the blocking falls pretty flat. They could do with less gesturing and more actual expression. Otherwise it's a great show! Definitely my favorite musical.
No offense, but there's not much thought in the acting. I wish there was more maturity in this scene. Otherwise the singing was very good. And the cow is excellent!
