I learned traditional Japanese Ju-jutsu from Samurai Family, and think you learned good techniques, but you need a Sensei such as myself to fine tune your actual Slices.

I studied and have competed in actual combat Bu-jutsu/Ken-jutsu lol, before I get the same response from kids, yes people get sliced occasionally, but the overall skill level is such, that there is very little blood shed. There are many better ways, but we won't get into that. Rehearsed demo is an excellent way to get smooth with your techniques, and get comfortable with timing, there are also 21 other training methods to prepare one for sword battle. I will duel anyone with any sword. If people are interested in improving their focus, concentration, reaction time and develop the Warrior spirit they should not waste anymore time and contact me. How can you very sure that it is useless in the modern world? here and there it looks more like ninjitsu, but overall it looks like some realy devoted students who take their art seriously, and train in propper context of weapons, situations, etcetera..

Perhaps not in whole chain of movements, but sometimes only small fractions of principal techniques can do well for amateurs. Like punching ur opponents solar plexus instead of chest, jab his adam's apple instead of strangling, hit their chin from below with palm...I think element of surprise also important. oh, and the name of that fencing teacher is Tono Suratman, Head of IKASI

Of course it was only for demo. Everyone agrees that there's no time for choreography if u fight bullies on the road. The whole point of demo is to attract people, and to show about the moves in their ideal form. The sensei of this club is more to classic styles, but in regular practice he also tried to assimilate the moves for daily use. there's also a fencing teacher from Indonesia who teach fencing techniques for practical fights
