The point of cussing is to be offensive or express that you are offended. Sad but this is all true. And as someone who was/is studyin to be a teacher for children, I have to say this: children will learn those words eventually. They may not get what it means till later, but they will say it several times before they mature. Believe me. Said fuck when I was ten, and boy did my parents congradulate me. My uncle didn't like it, but thats only cause we were at his f'ing house! LOL. There is not such thing as bad language, but slaughterin is a different story on its own.
Here is my theory: the further into the future we go, the earlier children will start using these words. In the past, you only saw people start cursing in their high school days. Now in the present, you see 12 or 13 year olds start cursing. So in the future, the odds will increase dramatically that a baby's first word would be fuck or shit or damn or any other curse word.
You wouldnt believe some of the flack I get when I tell people the same thing....they need to get a life! I dont get why kids cussing is bad. They are going to do it as adults anyways. Plus, words are just words, and some people don't know what fuck is until they are 18 or older. (Yeah, that is how sheltered some people in this country really are.)

The point of cussing is to be offensive or express that you are offended. I do agree that there is a hell of a lot of inconsistency with these kinds of things, and people will inexplicably find great offense at one thing but not another. If there was no stigma about some words, there would be no point in saying them, and many of them never would have been thought up. The stigma gives the words their power. If one overuses them, without much thought, then one will sound like a stunted individual.

Sad but this is all true. And as someone who was/is studyin to be a teacher for children, I have to say this: children will learn those words eventually. They may not get what it means till later, but they will say it several times before they mature. Believe me. Said fuck when I was ten, and boy did my parents congradulate me. My uncle didn't like it, but thats only cause we were at his f'ing house! LOL. There is not such thing as bad language, but slaughterin is a different story on its own.

Here is my theory: the further into the future we go, the earlier children will start using these words. In the past, you only saw people start cursing in their high school days. Now in the present, you see 12 or 13 year olds start cursing. So in the future, the odds will increase dramatically that a baby's first word would be fuck or shit or damn or any other curse word.
