  • those cats are beautiful...

  • I love to see them playing in water, I hope mine does when I get him.

  • so how old do Savannah's have 2 be vefore ucan put them in the water

  • um there is a domestic breed called Lynx....so...look it up, google 'lynx cat' and bengal cats run from 500- 4000 dollars in the u.s. not in the 20,000 range. they require attention and puzzles to solve and yes....play time int the tub....some of you sound really dumb thinking you know what you are talking about.....

  • @eckoboy83 lol, my tabby barn cat doesn't only require attention, she demands it. but i don't mind. she is very cuddly when it gets into the colder parts of the winter. i think the Lynx breed is beautiful but i've read some negative stuff about them. do you know if they make good pets?

  • how much for one of those???

  • What's the difference between a bengal and a savannah?

  • A Bengal is a domestic cat, a result of a small wild cat called the Asian Leopard Cat and a domestic cat. A Savannah is a mix between a LARGE feral cat called a Serval and a domestic breed such as a bengal or an egyptian mau.

Although both breeds can be fantastic domestic cats, many have a tendency to get depressed, as they are highly intelligent: a little too intelligent to be kept in captivity like this. I WANT one, but my stepmother who's bred both races, says they can be really bad pets....

  • i thought my 2 bengals were the only cats that love water I guess I was wrong

  • I WANT I WANT I WANT a Savannah :(

  • got money? :)

  • Exactly the point : (

  • and i want a bengal...but they also cost :(

  • Expect to pay a lot I heard they can run as high as 20K also their needs may be more demanding than regular cats. But I agree they are beautiful!

  • My parents just bought a "Cheetoh" (Bengal/Ocicat mix) and a Bengal. Each cost about $850. I believe the Savannah cats they were looking to buy were closer to 1 to 2k. 20k sounds a bit.... off.

  • Ah, I think the 20k price tag is for the Ashera cat, which is a cross between a Serval (wild cat breed) and an Asian Leopard cat (another wild cat breed). The resulting cat is large and not very "domestic" looking. I'm not sure how good of pets they would make, considering Savannah's and Bengal's aren't generally sold as pets until the 5th generation down from the wild cats they are bred from.

  • @Stormlark, the ashera cat breed is a hoax, its a savannah cat that some breeders in california claimed to be something new. Its not even a pure cross between a serval and an asian leopard cat, its generally an F1 savannah female bread to a male bengal. It does have both of those exotic cats in it, but it also has a fair share of domestic genetics involved. Its basically a savannah cat because most breeders also incorporate bengal into their breeding anyway.

  • @Stormlark

I`d also imagine that getting the odd trait house cats have (to hunt for pleasure and not for food), and putting it in a larger and less tame cat, could turn out to be rather foolish. Though the cats are beautiful, it should probably be something that one must atLEAST pass some test and follow some regulations on.

  • i wish they did domesticated the lynx cat

  • A Lynx is NOT a cat. It's A HUGE wildcat - also known as a "bigcat" in line with tigers, leopards and lions. Trust me, love. We have these in Norway where I live, and they're vicious. They eat anything from deer to goats and cats. Nothing like the Serval from which the Savannah stems.

    You don't want one =)

  • Well I'm glad your cat is a great pet. I rescued 2 Bengal cats ( 5th gen) and are great and learned about the breeding process later. The breeding of any animal to "select for" a more desired characteristic simply means that the undesired animals are by definition discarded. That's why the white tiger is related to the discussion of Savannah cat breeding.

  • Thank you, I totally agree

  • Why don't u do your research before commenting. Check out the "Big Cat Sanctuary" in Tampa Fl and the reason for it's existance. Find out what F-1thru F-5 is and what happens to most of the cats along the breeding process. By the way do u think that a "white tiger" naturally occurs?

  • big cat rescue? I've seen their videos, but so what, what exactly do you think happens to most cats in the breeding process? and I think white tiger do naturally occur rarely

  • All cats at Big Cat Rescue are abandoned or mistreated cats. If you take the tour there, you will see 20-30 abandoned savannah/serval mostly F-1 and F-2 cats that are there because the owners got them thinking they would make great pets but they either sprayed all over the house (which is more prevalent the closer to the wild breed), or they picked fights with other house pets or family members. Not all do this but lots do..then they are abandoned or killed because the buyer didnt do research

  • And white tigers are NOT naturally occuring. Before you get a "white" tiger, about 20-30 cubs must be killed. If the goal is a white tiger, then all cubs in the litter that turn out not to be the desired color are discarded. Think about it. If you get 2 out of 5 cubs that are 50% white, then you inbreed them to get a litter more white, now you have 1 out of 5 or 6 of the next litter fitting the criteria, but now a whole new litter of inbred disfunctional and nonwhite cats. look it up

  • Maybe so, but I meant naturally occurring in the wild not breeding, surely there have been at least one instance of a white tiger being born in the wild right? what does this have to do with anything anyways?

  • You are incorrect. Yes white tigers can be painstakingly bred but they absolutely are a naturally occuring though rare phenomena.

  • When people don't know what they're talking about they sound like idiots. White tigers are naturally occuring, they just don't survive long becuase they can't blend in. And tigers are an endangered species, so it's illegal to kill them. The only people who would be breeding tigers to be white would be zoos and they would are positively thrilled whenever a tiger cub is born, no matter its coloring.

  • You're right about this being the way white tigers can be BRED - just like ANY breed of dog has been bred through the ages. And you've gotten thumbs down because people are shocked by this - but it's absolutely true.

That being said - white tigers ABSOLUTELY ARE a natural occurence in Asia, although rare. Search the term "white tiger" on Wikipedia and you'll find a large article.

  • @jsurfs21 White tigers just possess the albinism gene. You have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @heylookimfat Every species carries an albino gene. :) It's just not entirely common in a lot.

  • @jsurfs21 I don't know what you mean by "not naturally occuring". White or partially white tigers do in fact, "naturally occur" in the wild and still do. It is due to a recessive gene, and there is no reason wild tigers don't occationally end up with white tiger cubs. The gene need to already exist in the wild in order for "breeding programs" to actually breed white tigers. Did you think they're genetically engineered?

  • @jsurfs21 And all you need to breed white tigers is just to get 2 white tiger parent... if you breed two yellow tigers with no white tigers in the lineage there is very low chance there will be recessive white tiger cubs. Breeders don't just breed any random animal and expect there to be white cubs...

And WHERE are you getting this "20-30 cubs must be killed" information? Is there proof? I have never heard of breeding programs that kill tiger cubs.

  • @KuraKaze You need two snows to produce another snow. You don't get snows with normal gold/tan breedings. Though have you ever noticed you get silver in there sometimes with two golden cats?

  • Just because some incompetent people got pets without doing their research inst indicative of problems with the breed or breeding. If they got Servals or F-1s thinking they would be like any other normal cat then they are idiots. Besides, I'd venture to say it's a very small minority of people who would spend thousands of dollars on a Savannah without doing some research first, definitely not "most," of the cats bought home like you say will be euthanized.

  • @jsurfs21 people should learn more about the breed before they get a cat at F standar either its bengal or savannah i have a bengal and had a lot of troubels in the start to get him realy house clean and not ruin funiture with claws ...it took me almost 2 years to get him "normal " but well worth it :))

  • @jsurfs21 Regarding abandoned F1s and F2s - how many of all cats are abondoned? Do you have any statistics that shows that more savannahs are abondoned than your regular domestic shorthair or say Persians or Somali? A lot of people get pets and then dump them. And any cat can start spraying or be aggressive. Show statistics, plural of anecdotes isn't data. Again, I find it interesting that you have savannahs and Savannah Cat Rescue has people waiting for cats.

  • @jsurfs21 I don't know much about white tigers, but I've read a lot about savannahs recently, and I saw first savannahs years ago - they were brought to a TICA cat show near where I live where I go occasionally to watch cats. There is absolutely no proof to Big Cat Rescue claims about savannahs. If Big Cat Rescue has so many abandoned savannahs, why don't they return them to Savannah Cat Rescue - yes, I went there too, they have people waiting for cats.

  • Beautiful cat but Im not sure if u all know how u get one of these cats and what happens to the "bad" cats in the breeding process. most of these cats are then taken home and once they hit puberty that pee everywhere and all these beautiful cats end up euthanized.

  • Why would they get home and pee everywhere? Which bad cats? They are pets, and are sold as pets. All cats have potential to spray, not just Savannahs...

  • I have a bengal and love her she is so cute and funny but I would like a savannah

  • Dang you got one of them $20,000 dollar cats, (SAVANNAH)

  • ROTFL! He says, GIMMEH DE CHICKEN!! LOL!

  • WoW thats a beutiful Cat!

  • GORGEOUS animals, aren't they..

  • I want a Savannah so bad!! =D

  • bengal vs. savannah? what are the differences? i'm a cat noob

  • An F-1 savannah is made from a bengal and a serval. Successive generations are made by mating a savannah and a bengal.

  • worng, read the commenter that i believe is marked as spam 2 or 3 below.

  • an F-1 is a Serval crossed to any domestic... In the case of my F-1 he was a Serval/ Serengetti cross

  • One time i left my door open and a stray cat that would always hang around at me and my neighbors house went in it, but not like im gonna run in and hide in here, he actually walked in and stayed there. We ended up adopting him. But it was funny.

  • Cool cats!

  • savannahs is so freaking amazing

  • THAT CAT IS HUUUUGGGEEEEE

  • I'm getting a savannah as soon as I get my own place! I'm so excited...I love how cautiously they approach the water LOL!

  • UNKNOWN

  • wow..big ole cats!!! dang. Big as dogs..

  • THATS A LONG CAT!

  • Long cat is LLLOOOONNGGGGG!!!!!

  • What's the difference between a Savannah and Bengal and which one is more expensive? Thanks

  • The difference is which wild species the domestic cat was crossed with.

  • savannah are a little bigger than bengals and more expensive, savannahs are a serval mix, maybe with a bengal, while bengals mix'd with snow leopard and domestic, thats how I understand it.

  • I just found out that Sherri also contacted a breeder who was about to sell bengal kittens to a friend of ours & made statements that they were unfit to raise bengals.Funny, this coming from someone who stole 4 kittens from Richard Norton!UNBELIEVABLE!

  • See my channel, koolkatsclub and apparentlyido for the truth about ridanosbengalabuse/sherri/mulelover and her slandering of Ridanos.

  • kucing hutan we called this cats in indonesia just 5$

  • Ridanos Bengals?

  • Dumbass. MULELOVER is the person causing trouble, Ridanos Bengals has nothing to do with kitten abuse.

  • oooooooooooooooooomg sooooooooooo tall

  • my god the bengal is big... how long is he/she? how much di he/she waight? it seens big on the cam o what? i'm surprised

  • I'm seriously considering getting a bengal cat. I've heard they actually prefer to go to the bathrooom in running water as opposed to a litter box. Can anyone confirm if that's true? I ask because I've got a running stream just a few yards off my porch. Would a bengal actually decide to use that? If so that's a potential dream come true!

  • LOL THEY ARE SOOOO LONG!!

  • your babies are BEAUTIFUL! i love the slyness of your savvy sooo cute!

  • Beuatiful cats. I am currently waiting for my F1 girl which will come home early Sept. I cant wait! =)

  • Beautiful cats! Just wondering, do savannah cats meow or make any other sounds?

  • Yes, they do. My Chompers can be very vocal, as you can see in the video clip of him at a cat show. He tends to be a whiner. haha He is very loving though and purrs a lot as well.

  • ive never heard of a bengal cat and now i have :|

  • That cat is gorgeous. Love that breed. <3

  • i thought the other one was gonna push him in the tub lol

  • It's kind of hard to see its coloring, but your bengal looks a lot like my tabby!

  • tabbys have lines bengals have spots and bengals are alot! more expensive

  • I see the spots/stripes difference now. How are bengal temperments? Are they good with ppl?

For $40 I got a tabby complete with fleas, worms and a carboard carrier from the humane society. lol

  • haha thats cool that u gave hime a home....but bengals are super freindly there really really nice cats very people pets u know if u get one u will love it!

  • Very beautiful your cat-tiger:)

  • haha and i thought my cat was big (maine coon -female)... but man they are huge!

  • wow, those are big kitties O.o pwnass, like sum kinda tiger xD do they eat birds or people? xD

  • omg savavnahs there rare arent they there like the biggest house cats,i was reading about them last week

  • ragdolls are pretty big

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • u know wat would be funny the other cat push the other in the tub!!! - lol maybe i could of taught my cat to do that -

  • they r soo beautiful

    xx

  • who knew cats liked water

  • They are so beautiful!

  • that bengel or that cat on the right looked so cute when he zoomed in his face

  • I love your videos and your kitties! I was just wondering, 2 questions:

    1. Does the savannah use a litter box like other cats or does she go outside like a dog?

    2. How much exercise do savannahs need? Do you walk her or anything like that?

  • well, i could answer to number 2. You need to walk em on leash every day. Especially f1/f2 generations

  • my orange tabby likes to play with toys in water, so it's not just savannahs and bengals

  • Savannah cats have real African Serval Cat in them

  • there must be something about bengal cats that draws them to water . the really don't seem to mind it as other cats

  • savannahs are a liiiiitle bit bigger than bengals.

  • The one at the begging is not a bengal its teh savanha bengals dont have that many spots because i have owned a bengal.. they love to be outside but we had to put it to sleep..

  • the one that has a lot of spots is not a bengal cat!!!! Its savannah, probobly F1 or F2. it looks too much like a serval. The darker one is bengal.

  • How hot water do you use?

  • Go to petfinder(dot)com, plenty of purebred bengals end up in shelters so you can get one for very cheap. A breeder might charge 800-2000 dollars depending on the show quality of the cat. If a breeder is selling a kitten for less than 500 dollars they are most likely a backyard breeder so be careful. If you can't visit the home and meet the parents definatly do not buy.

  • I WANT ONE! where can i get one?

  • bengal is the breed

  • omg very nice spoty cat :) is it called bengal ?

  • beautifullll catttttttttttttssssssssssssss!!!

  • Wow what a beautiful cat!! it looks so much like a serval its unbelievable.

  • Yes I thought it looked like a Serval. And Savannah the kitten has such a glossy coat, both cats are obviously extremely healthy and well looked after. Nice to see

  • Oh wow... your cat is the most beautiful creature I've ever seen! So graceful! I showed this video to my boyfriend, and he is so engrossed with this breed! How come some look different than others? I've seen bengals before, but none as vibrant and beautifully marked as yours!

  • Do all Bengal's enjoy the water?

  • I'm sure Bengals are great however there are lots of other kitties out ther that are not $600.00 and every bit as sweet and cute. Adopt.

  • well they have different personalities than domestics which some people prefer

  • My friend got a bengal from a rescue centre. She's absolutely in love with him. From what I've seen of him and the others in the vids, they extremely intelligent, wily and determined. But also rather "naughty". If you want a cat that just dozes in the sun all day and won't try to steal your dinner, don't get a Bengal!

  • Comment removed

  • We got ours from a shelter too. She is a half breed but the Bengal traits shine through...She has beautiful markings but not really spotted...I am angry with whoever just threw her and her kittens away on a gravel road. She was declawed with no way to protect herself. We took the mom. Spayed, of course. Kittens are easy to get adopted Older cats are harder...Even though her name is Joanie her nickname is Queenie...she thinks she is a queen...what a wonderful cat who loves to p lay in water!!

  • O MY GOSH!!!!How OUTSTANDING beautiful Bengals you have!!!!5 stars for you!

  • really true

  • i have a cat that kinda looks like a bengal but i doubt she is cuz she didnt cost 600$

  • beautiful cats! I want one :)

  • isn`t that cute?

  • They are so beautiful!

  • how much bengal cats cost? message me

  • Bengals are wonderful cats and unlike any other cat you have ever known.

For 30 years I always had Siamese until I spotted my 1st Bengal way across the floor at a cat show and it's extraordinary beauty blew me away. He ended up coming home with me and was the best cat I've ever had. My second Bengal is the sweetest most loving cat although he is a nut.

A quality Bengal kitten will cost $600 or more. Bengals are so unique that the best come from breeders that specialize in Bengals only.

  • Beautifulllllll

  • That savannah is one of the best I've seen. It even has the eye-spots on the ears. What generation is it?

  • bengals are the top

anything else is just a cat!

  • BTW the reason they look like leopards is cuz Savannahs are part African Serval Wildcat

  • i love it, love it, love it, love it love it.

  • cute cats, my cat milo used to do that until he ran away, and I had a black cat called Buttons and he got hit by a car coz of a STUPID DOGS FAULT CHASING HIM INTO THE ROAD!!!!, and cool cats, the cat on the left looks like a leapord.

  • Beautiful face on your Bengal

    ^.^

  • PUSH HIM IN! :P

  • YES! I had a cat who would do that with his ball, and he'd even get in and bat it around. Beautiful cats.

  • Pretty cats! who's the 2nd pet kitty? :)

  • thats the bengal

  • bengal the name and also the breed of cat? cute! ^_^

  • ohh thats what you meant lol thats oliver or ollie

  • There pretty cats. :)

  • wow

to 1123098 you can own a f1 at least here in NY

  • wow those cat look totaly asome. i always wanted a bangal but i ended up with a couple of mixes insted.. i wish that my cats played in water.

  • I am in awe!!! I have a Siam and a Bengal, but I am totally intrigued by your Savannah!! What a stunning cat! I would LOVE an F1, but that is almost impossible to get here in Australia :(

Guess I shall go hunting for a F2 or 3. Wish me luck!

  • Wow! They have really long bodies.

  • wow....F1? u must b a breeder..coz i remember reading dat onli f3 or 4 can b kept as pets? i mite b rong

  • In some states.

In NY you could only have F5 and up.

But you can't get in NYC with them.

  • naww, not always. But f3 are ideal pets :D. Aren't as demanding as f1 and f2, but still has style!

  • I just can't get over how huge & exotic looking they are! Hard to imagine having these animals in a home :)

  • wow you got an F1? thats crazy! and pretty awesome you can actually tell the differnce between that cat and later generattions its alot longer then most cats and it looks a little bigger then most adult bengals

  • he looks small in this video, but he's really tall in person. He's almost a year now and he'll keep growing until he's three so he's not done yet
