Manye ametuer boxing has gone to shyt since they started wearing headgears and keying on clean punches first two 2 minutes of that 1st round money landed 4 clean shots and they didn't count them. @luilun Wow! Meldrick was good but he didnt have the endurance,stamina and,most of all,brains. Anybody can throw a 7-punch combo if the opponent stands there. But what happens when he's moving. Meldrick hands stay fast but his legs get tired. Do the research(Chavez). People all the time say this old fighter wouldve beat Floyd. Look at the mistakes they make in their fights,over and over. Floyd rarely makes the same mistake twice. Look for mistakes rather then strengths.

Learn about the sport first. Chavez body punching is what did dooms day for Taylors legs. Taylor piss blood for 3 days. Mayweather throws no body punches he pot shots. Look I had 100 amatuer bouts from 1978 to 1982 when I was young. I don't like watching Mayweather fights cause he puts me to sleep better than Ambien. I've train kids My nephew and most blacks don't know how to body punch unless their taught by Mexicans or white guys. I have fix body punching on many black kids here in California. Before you bring up Mosley and his dad, his dad didn't teach him body punching. Tony Cerda ran the pomona gym and was head trainer. He had World champs

This brings me back to the conclusion that you cant possibly have good defense. I can tell you like brawlers and sluggers. @american1great I'm not a huge fan of Flyod's style cause he runs whenever he gets tagged by a decent fighter. I like fighters who come to fight and stand in the center and go toe to toe. Look at all of Flyod's fights with cats like Dela Hoya, Mosley, and Marquez. He ran as soon as he got tagged. I'd like to see him fight Pacquiao and go toe to toe, then I'll have more respect for the man.
