Ive done it in company when you are more inclined to do things you wouldnot do by yourself.
It is exposed but quite safe if you take your time.
My dream is to approach Crib Goch via the Cwm glas North Ridge.
Its far easier than the East Ridge from the Pyg track with no scrambling involved but the exposure looking down into the Llanberis Pass is far more extreme than climbing it from the PyG Track route.
Done Crib Goch on Saturday 10th July 2010 for the first time in rain and 65 mile winds and it was bloody scary only saw about 5 people up there on the crib couldn't walk at the top weather conditions were too bad so we had to traverse along it, we also got overtaken by some old guy about 60yrs old, fair play to the old boy.
epic walk. i had the same expeience at the top. i was so adrenaline filled i didnt care there was a few hundred foot drop either side. and you pronounced llanberis wrong ;)
Hey Guys, thanks for the comments, I appreciate the feedback.
Its approaching the end of November & soon I'll be back up for my 'winter' attempt on Crib Coch - Im putting my words into actions & going for it under tougher circumstances!
Lorne, Hi, loving the latest Chichester$ uni''s adventure education videos they're awesome. I have been shooting more stuff and instead of just paddling down a river, Im finding myself stop and go ''this will make a great shot'' and wish I had a camera
It's a great video mate, with some brilliant shots, you should do some more.
However : I'm sorry but there is no-way you have a fear of heights! I suffer with vertigo ( I hate myself for it) and have been battling it for years because I love mountains. Standing on the ridge with no hands, no-one who suffers with vertigo could do that.
Crib Goch is my ultimate goal and I hope 1 day to do it.
well done!!.....can't believe you want to do it in winter!!!.........went up there a few weeks ago and have put a video on "Snowdon via Crib Goch" if you fancy a look : -)
Well done Kenna and JJ great diary Doc. You need to make some more. Some great shots JJ and some scary climbing Kenna. Like the sunrise!!! All round good job.
If you were caught up there with that hat on, you'd have been thrown off!

You wouldn't get me doing that even for a solid gold pig. I enjoy the top of Snowdon but only via the train.
