What's sad is THIS is just a piece of war. Unfortunately, blatant U.S propaganda (and some other countries) convinces countless people that war is all about heroics and patriotism, which is utter bullshit. There's also idiots in my school who think you can get a nuke in the army just because they saw it in MW2. It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant people can be to this shit.

it wouldnt hurt the two to take a leaf out of this particular conflict to realise how hatred and differences can devastate a whole region in the planet. :(

Thank you sugar for spelling it out in regard to who mainly do serve our country. I am a staunch believer that when and if we go to war, the DRAFT is immediately implemented. Firm believer of that. I think that making that little rule would get EVERYONE involved in the run up to a war and all of our Congressmen and women's children would have to serve. If that had been the case regarding Iraq, we either probably wouldn't have even gone there and it certainly would be over right now!

You cannot call the worst of war the reality. the reality of war is what is done for the most time in that war. for many wars that was fighting. but for other wars such as Vietnam or Iraq. it is the mundane time spent doing nothing important that you would call the reality. If you spend 234 out of 365 not doing anything important, wouldn't you call that the reality? as it is whats happening most of the time?

Thank you for your comment. I wanted to show through photographs the extent of the counties involved, from Sudanese soldiers to Scots prisoners and the Australian Light Horseman picking poppies. Unfortunately, it would require more than three minutes to represent them all. In my humble opinion, the real 'heros' of war are those in the medical corps which I illustrated by using images of soldiers being treated for physical, as well as psychological wounds.
