this was probably the best animation I've ever seen, but the movie.. I don't know.. I kind of hated the main character, because watching the movie, I got this Fear and Loathing feeling, which they kind of forced me to, but the jokes were silly, the plot totally predictable and even Depps brilliant performance couldn't save this. It's sad because this movie looks so fucking good, I have no idea how they did this.

I just saw this movie Wed., and I have to say, it is incredible!! I loved it. The animation is strange, but beautiful! Sort of hyper-realistic, and cartoony at the same time. The story was awesome. The humor is great. And Johnny Depp just rules. I can't wait for this to come out on Blu-Ray!

I love the animation and the writing of the story more than I love the fact that Johnny Depp's in the film. It's like a Chuck Jones cartoons meets western films meets CGI, and it's not in Digital 3D. It's funny, charming, slightly violent with crude humor you'd see in the Looney Tunes, and it tugs at your heart strings. Rango's definitely a film to go see not just because of the lead, but just because it's a film that true animation lovers will enjoy. I give it an 11

Grace, I think the biggest issue for this movie is how adult it is. The demographic for this type of movie is children. While many children won't catch them, there are many profane and druggy (and a little religion) lines of dialogue. If you saw the movie, do you think this movie was aimed at the right demographic?

This movie was great! saw it on opening night and I was amazed! It's a little weird in some parts and has a few bits of adult humor, I was surprised at Nickelodeon. The movie had a more thespian theme, and I loved it! The animation is amazing and the action scenes are stunning and truly memorable! I give this movie a 9.5/10 and I'd see it a million more times! Why are you stressing the Johnny Depp part of the movie? I get that he's the most famous voice actor and some people are probably just going to see Rango for Johnny Depp, but this isn't a "Johnny Depp film." It's a badass animated western. If there is a star of this film (which I'm not sure there can be with animated movies, since they're so collaborative,) it would be the director, Gore Verbinski. I wish you would have talked more about his career.

The movie was CUTE and DIFFERENT then your average adorable cartoon, the graphics were INCREDIBLE and it made you feel that sometimes it wasn't a cartoon sometimes thats how real some parts looked, the story was ADORABLE. It dragged here and there though, but the little love scene made it so cute (because we usually see chameleons kiss). And if you speak spanish, even a better joke because you understand a few of the nasty words in spanish! FUN FOR THE FAMILY! XD
