are alot of the etleys intentionally made with one ear larger than the other? if so why? thats pretty cool. Wow this was almost a year ago lol, cant even imagine how large the collection is. You can Probably go around the world 2 times from tip to base lol
@smellanalan im not an expert whatsoever but i think the reason for the ears is due to resharpening, i would imagine that every knife felt more comfortable one way than the other, and therefore you would tend to sharpen that side more often than the other
How in the hell did I miss this video?!!!!! KILLER!!!! And I thought I liked arrowheads??? I have never seen anything like that in my life!! Thanks again Richard!!!! WOWZA!!!! WOWZA!!!!
Awesome collection! just for thought. How many shovels of dirt and how many miles walked. This is a great example of passion for what you do, and truly something to be proud of.
i imagine you have found some calf creeks? ive been hunting 2 years and ive got 2 wings of broken calf creeks and a killer calf creek base with base grinding
man... everyone of these peices are one of a kind...why would put a price on them? ive only got 4 cases full and i wouldnt sell them for my life...just keep the videos comin richard...u have an awsome collection...
Oh my...as i have said before,"you are the man." Ovetts ain't got nothing on you! I hope to make it to the show Saturday! I will be looking forward to shaking the hand of a living legend!!!!
artifactman said what I was thinking, follow the display case road. Were those price tags I saw on several of the pieces? I wish I could attend that show. you commented on your only clovis piece, I just uploaded a video on my clovis points, take a look. I can see why Missouri is called the "show me" state.
On a serious note. I think its great what you are doing, letting people see and enjoy these wonderful artifacts. Here in northern Kentucky, the university of Kentucky comes and digs all the burial mounds, before any new buildings go up, they come out and check for points. Nothing wrong with this I guess but know one ever gets to see he artifacts. That is why I think its so great what you're doing.
Thanks Richard. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were proud of this collection! It's cool to see some of these artifacts and remember when you found them! Have a great time at the show!
UNBELIEVABLE ! ! ! I have been collecting since I was about 10 years old . I have a fair collection . but it aint nothin compared to yours .
