I won't read the paper and watch the news as if my reality of what I should be concious of, should come through a 1 hour filter hand picked,manipulated, script that didn't even relay that I am on the verge of losing my civil rights. .Your truth is your rights..Everything starts with self even my opinion or thoughts and choices..whats right today may not be very right for tomorrow. My experience of not watching the news has been Great! I have more control and a brighter outlook about life.

The news is problematic for a start as it is all about agendas. How can we believe news and tv? Tv is not entertaining, books are. So is that toxic narcissism or conciousness?

This is profound ~ "A hybrid spiritualilty that is mixed with a very toxic degree of narcissism!~ Many people are using lack of boundaries and self-respect and calling it freedom of expression when in fact it is bondage to lies and hidden agenda's! I believe that what she is trying to say it is the truth. Some lightworkers are using spirituality as a self service "enlightenment". There is no merit in Develop spirituality without SOUL SERVICE. Our Main purpose in Life is to Serve others, Not Ourselves, we shall never lose this perspective.

I shouldn't say anything, but fuck it. This woman seems insane. How would she know what's best for someone else? My experience is that becoming more free one's self is the path to being more inclusive because everything one does in life comes out of one's personal state of consciousness. Doing good deeds isn't a discipline, it's a response when a sense of connectedness and unity arises.

I don't think one is necessarily a response to the other. I think the feeling of unity and the spirit of charity arise mutually. Putting all your eggs in one basket is a recipe for frustration. One must get past the duality of "inner freedom" versus "practical good deeds".

She talks down to the audience as if I'm five years old and spilled milk on her new sofa - "CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?"

Tells a broad generalization of people to get meds b/c they ll never heal.

i think she was speaking of an archetypal behavioral pattern autonomously -- what she's saying is that that pattern, if embraced, is not conducive to liberation from suffering, so its logical end is drugs or other self-destruction.

you might get more out of videos on esoteric subject matter if you spend more time listening and less time worrying about vocabulary.

really anything can be broken down with that whole "reductionist language" game, but that faculty is not useful in this matter.

Who is the "us" she refers to in the beginning? Arguments that use broad generalizations have little validity.

It would be good to see Eckhart and Myss on stage together for a light discussion and tea.

i.e. "we wouldn't be in the state we're in" - suggesting she's not ok with what is...suggesting "consciousness" should have done something else...this isn't how I imagined it, therefore its unfavorable.

Yes! Although I may sacrifice some of my devotion to spiritual growth for the sake of advocacy related to earth-bound issues (often, in the name of that growth). It is just as dissappointing to me to see close ones making great strides in their development, but failing to encompass the world-equation into their outlook. We cannot nurture localized positivity, while ignoring distant negativity. The ripples meet. Our collective spiritual challenge is simply not that easy. Thank you, Caroline.
