Tell him that Jesus is not God, he is a slave like you, all of humanity are slaves to the one Almighty God, Allah, all the difference is that Allah had chosen Jesus to be a Prophet to the Israel, sons of Jacob..
There is no such thing called 3 Gods in 1, Paul was distorting, it is a pagan idolatry myth!
I watched this last night at 01:00 am, for the first time in it's entirety.. the Judge and the prisoners themselves coming to Jesus, brilliant. I took it instantly as a message. Not to mention the acts of JQ Adams and who can forget the BOLD & COURAGEOUS British Naval Captain... Like the late Pastor Covington of Mitch Albom's book "Have a Little Faith" said: "If you can get over my ugliness, if you pray for me, and I pray for you... then we can get a whole lot done..." This hit home
Such a great movie, but one thing I cannot understand is this. Whether Jesus was a great man or not is irrelevent. What confounds me... is why a people who were kidnapped, chained, whipped, packed naked onto ships in insanitary conditions, whipped, fed slop, whipped, tossed overboard when useless, whipped, and sold as property only to be whipped the rest of their lives would accept the religion of their oppressors at the end of a bullwhip with any sincerity and not just as a survival tactic.
Jesus Bless The message of this video, the movie was both sad and uplifting, i love how the Africans realize that the plight of The Lord God Jesus Christ was the same as that of their own, that He was also innocent and wrongfully charged and tormented too, they understand His story and messages just by seeing the engravings by Gustav Dore from The Holy Bible painting and illustrations that he did, amazing stuff =)
No but Mr. Neathandal man Uh why would I riot over here and America is going to pay for their evilness and this country is going to go down oneday. Taking land from the indians and killing and murdering thoughout history. WHY DONT YOU TALK ABOUT THE GREED AND DESTRUCTION YALL DID. USA is nothing and one day its going to be destroy with all the blood shed and greed this country cause. When that day come I cant wait because 400 years of suffering and my people died for nothing is well overdue.
Why this racist man speak with such hate hey black people like myself is not the cause of your hatred. You sound like a very narrowminded man thats very ignorant and foolish. I hope when someone treat you like a dog, put chains on you, force you to come over here. And by the way we was educated before so what you talking about. Obviously instead of showing so much hatred you need to research the contribution in what Black people have contribute here. Im not going to curse and act evil like you.
@vljones45014 In order to be completely open minded, one must honestly look at history. The slave trade originated from North African Arabs, who looked at black Africans as inferior. Now while the Europeans, in particular the Portuguese and Spaniards are completely culpable in this evil travesty,so are the native Africans who sold their own into slavery. It is historically inaccurate to state that Europeans kidnapped them, they were sold by their own royalty! That's historical fact.
from both a dramatic and cinematic standpoint, this is an exceptional scene; well acted, well-lit (as was indeed the whole film done by almost exclusively ambient light), and warmly paced. historically, it is a bit off (those illustrations were done by a guy who would have only been a child at the time of the trial), but an important centerpiece of the film nonetheless.
to dumb ass kingsley dumb ass ennis. you ar so fucking dumb it's a damn shame, if you would take a look at history your damn ass would know that you ar afrikan as well because that's where life began..... the first man and first woman was founded in the garden of eden which is the birth place of every thing, now where is the garden of eden? but you dont know the answer to this question you are to fuckin dumb to know it.. the garden of eden is with in afrika...... do your history dumb ass....
The deep and shear beauty of the christian message is so pure and so touching, this scene literally brought me to tears. The deep i love i feel for God when i watch this is indescribable. The way simple pictures softened yamba's heart to a point where his face was overflowing with love and peace was just amazing. I love you Yeshua!.
so touching, the simplicity of Christ's life without any human made institutional crap interfering, they are looking at the story for what it is, and have not hardened hearts, but they understand it like children would, not complicated by human strife.
Wrong! It was GREED that caused slave trade - ugly, selfish greed. Using God's name was simply an attempt to legitimize bad behavior. Most of us find some way of justifying our bad behavior - rather than face the truth, and find forgiveness and victory over it.
The guy is preaching!

remember the priest blessing the slaves. Every message can be corrupted or it can be redeemed.

A scene of forced religious conversion and brainwashing by the most brutal means. Sick, just sick

I first saw this before I was saved, I didn't appreciate it like I do now. This scene is a blessing to me.

My favorite scene from Amistad, such a touching moment between Cinque and Yamba, the book gives it even more detail too.
