No. Since this being a pretty old game now, and exclusively co-op/multi-player, there is no campaign. You have to choose maps and then play a round based, team tactical deathmatch where once you die, you have to wait for the next round.

Ofcourse it's safe. You won't get any viruses, malware or bloatware from this. If you know MP gaming, there is always an anti-cheat application that installs with the game. This game has PunkBuster. You can google about it. It is completely safe. :)

As for the game, it's made by the US army. Surely they have better things to do than infecting PCs. Just relax and have fun. :P

Hmmm that's too bad. That might mean it is a pretty old PC and thus would be upgrading to a better one soon, :)

This is like BattleField and COD and maybe CS COMBINED. If I remember correctly this is actually older than those. and when this first came out. People were LINED UP waiting to get this game. the line was LONG.

No. The community is nowhere like CS or COD where hackers abound. Its quite fun once you get used to the combat.

Go to the downloads section in the official site and click on deploy. Immediately below it is a link named 'Deploy Partners for v(2.8.5)'

The last time I played this, mic could only be used via Xfire but honestly I din't find the game lacking anywhere in communication with its communication hotkeys and a sweet female voice that reads out all the typed text. ;)

The new AA3 might have a mic facilty, but honestly, a lot of people are still playing the old AA rather than AA3.

Yes they used real army weapons for their sound recordings. So its about as real you can get in front of a computer screen. :P

Sorry for late reply. Well you can talk with others via Xfire when you are playing the game. But a new version is coming up soon. America's Army 3 with better graphics and Unreal engine. I think it will have a mic facility. But once you play the game and experience its intricate communication messages, you will know that the messages are better than the mic itself. Try it, you will get addicted. But be prepared, irs no run and gun game. :)

If you are asking if this is a run and gun game, well then it is not. If the bots see you before you see them, no matter where you are, you will probably be dead quite soon. You have to be quite tactical than simply running and gunning things down. Even in multiplayer, without cover, you are nothing. :)

Sorry I couldn't see your whole message before. Its worth a try but I think most probably it won't run and even if it does, it will lag a lot. And you must be knowing how lag kills an online game. :)

No. There are no tanks/helicopters/boats in this. Simply because its a simulation game. There is one Humvee though and you have to do its training to be able to use it. Its not like battlefield as driving this humvee has many controls where you have to first switch on the ignition, put in appropriate gear as per needs and terrain, fasten your seat belt and then push the pedal. Even when you swap to the targetting seat, you will have to fasten seat belt, zoom through targetting system, ...

After zooming, you have to lock on the target, choose your weapon and then fire. So its nowhere like Battlefield series which is a run and gun game. You get semi-simulation here, and have to be very strategic like i said before in earlier comments. Look elsewhere is you like battlefield/enemy territory type games but I have known no one who has played this game and has been disappointed with the gameplay and fun factor, once past the training. :)

Are you talking about the speed when you are downloading it? The download speed depends on the traffic on the server you are downloading from. If you are downloading from a a busy server, the download speed will prolly be slow. Try to wait it out to see if the speed changes after some time or you can try downloading from an alternate site as well. :P

Definitely worth if you are into more of a realistic multiplayer games. If you like run and gun games or games like battlefield, you wont be having fun in this one. But if you find simulation thrilling, you should get this one. Armed Assault is better in simulation than America's Army but then the latter is free and has a the whole world playing it without heavy demands that the former makes from a PC. :)

My id over there is xygenome. If you are talking about the special forces training, you have to pretty much crawl all your way through the points. It takes about 20 min of crawling along a specific safe route. There are videos on youtube on how to go about it. :P They will help you with the exact route...pretty much frustating because its a long way when crawling all the way. There are walkthroughs with images on the net as well.

There are two co-op maps, interdiction and snakeplain. The map in the video is interdiction. You can use the supressor without the training in this map. You wont be able to access the snakeplain map until you finish the special forces training though. Hope that clears the question. Also, In interdiction, there are two squads with fourpositions each. If you take the third position which has the red dot gun, then you can use the supressor. Only the red dot has the supressor.

For interdiction, its not needed. But for snakeplain map, where you can customise your weapons, its needed.

Hi. Its the supressor. You have to get the red dot gun which is at third place in the squad in interdiction and then press 'L'. Enjoy. :)
