ok im from Cambridge South Dorchester and we played Fort Hill the next week after they played Dunbar, but out of the two times i played them they showed good sportsmanship
alright, i go to fort hill. i cheer for them. i know the boys on the team. there werent any "racial slurs" made? especially when we have black players. i think the coach just got way to mad, and showed a bad example. i dont want to start a fight or anything. but theres no doubt he walked out because he was pissed off. and we didnt pay our reffs? we offered for their reffs to come up here, but they said it was fine to use FH's so i would say get your facts straight, and stop sipping on haterade(:

I live in the Cumberland area, and i will tell you this, anytime you play a cumberland team it is home cooking by the refs. Teams in this area have been slighted by them for years. Imo the alma matter of these schools should never be permitted to ref these games. Cant say i blame these players or coaches, you proved an point you beat them, your lucky that you dont have to have them on your schedule every year like we do.

You are assuming that everything that the Dunbar coach said was true. He didn't take his team off the field for racial taunts. He took his team off the field because his team had just been assessed three major penalties and he had walked out onto the field and cursed at the officials. This conduct is quite common in the DC public school league.
Without actually being on the field, it is difficult to question the decision by the Dunbar coach to forfeit the game. I agree with the unsportsmanlike call but the late hit was kind of week. Favoritism is natural for the home team but if it was racially motivated lets investigate. After Hockulee error now all refs are trying the system. He cost me a win in Fantasy Football. Check Hockelee's bank account and fire him. Maybe they should integrate referees during racially tension games.

Also, notice at the beginning when they are doing the coin toss, the ref and the FH player both turn and look towards the FH sideline...that's because when Dunbar ran out of the lockers they ran to the FH sideline, a couple feet from the band and near the coin toss. had to be restrained by the refs to go to their own side.
