I honestly dont think he plays them as barre chords. I think he uses his thumb on the top string and makes chord shapes with the rest. I only do it that way because my hands are too small to complete that task non-painfully.

@keepitplain yeah you're right..it's what i do, it makes it easier to do the little fill bits inbetween chords
