It was clearly his cardio. I thought he looked terrible at first, watched the fight again. Obviously the first round was just domination, the second and third weren't that bad. He was too tired to finish coleman, but coleman was only in control for about 30 seconds altogether. It was pretty much Shogun beating up Coleman for 3 rounds but not being able to finish him up until the end.

Don't be so quick to say he left his skills in Japan. A fighter will usually not be in top form in his first fight after a year long lay off with two knee surgeries. And he didn't barely squeak out a decision. Coleman had some good moments, but shogun won every round before mark got ko'd. Shogun isn't back just yet, but we saw some flashes of his old self.

Shogun Has a really bright future ahead of him as long as his knee heels right. The guys only 26 and Former top 205 pounded in the world. In 2005 no 2005 pounded could handle this guy. Rampage got owned. tell forest the champion beat him 2007 at ufc 76 . If this guy trains hard and has better contioning he the next champ. Forest got a break he "gassed" and the cut wastn two inches closer to his eye.lol Forest is the champ though would love to see rematch

I'll be doing an interview with Dida in the next month. I'll be looking for questions in the near future. He did say he had an opponent lined up (the opponent is in my top 5 vid ... if you include my runner up) .... but his foot is hurt so he will have to hold off on that fight.

It was a K-1 match, and the opponent is basically the Greatest of All Time in the lighter weight class.

He was here for about a month and is leaving on Tuesday. He said he'll be back. His UDL colleague Andre Dida is teaching Muay Thai and then Dida's brother will trade off and take over.

With someone from UDL always there, it shouldn't be too far fetched for Shogun to return at some point.
