We need to appreciate our differences & understand that the equality we seek lies in respect & empathy not in monetary rewards,physical or mental dominance. I agree violence is not a good response but we are human, when we feel threatened we sometimes don''t use our heads. The inequality in divorce and custody is horrible. Women almost always get custody even in cases where the father would be a better fit. We still have this sense of obligation to protect women in our society. And we still see women as fragile beings.
